Tonights Game

Recommended Posts

Have faith that Andy and Ade can convince Manny that it would do him good to come to us. I cant really see anyone other than full time Conference clubs, or 3rd division sides, being interested until he has had the chance to play regularly again, and to perform consistently in those game (I certainly hope that is the case, anyway)

Tonights result means we remain 15 points clear of Leigh, who , like us, have 9 remaining games. And we're 12 clear of Farnborough who have played 1 game more.

Interesting to see Andy's quote in the Medway Messenger today as well :-

"It has to be our goal for the resat of the season to go unbeaten and make a run for the playoffs".

He does go on to say "That might not be very realistic", but says "it gives us something to play for and in football, you never know. There wont be too many teams that will fancy playing Gravesend in the run in, thats for sure"

"Not very realistic" is probably close to the understatement of the season, as we are 17 points off the play off places with just 9 games to play, but nice to know that Andy and the squad are thinking that positively, rather than worrying about picking up those last few points that could still, otentially at least, be needed to guarantee our Conference place next season.

Sky Sports said he was just getting match fit again..is this the case? If it is we have no chance of signing him at the end of the season...but we can sign him, cheer him on every week, make him a fans favourite like Essendoh, sing sign him up...stuff like that

Well he spent the previous month playing at Margate so it seems unlikely.

He is on the fringe of Oxford's first team (he came on as sub the week before he came to us) and they need to have him playing regularly so that he can fit in to the team when required.
