Hi

I am a Notts County fan and have in my possession a Gravesend V Wellington Town programme which I am about to post on Ebay. The problem I have is that although I know that the game took place on Saturday 16th December and was played in the southern League Premier Division I have no idea what year it was. I have checked the official Gravesend site and most of the archive links from 1970 backwards are corrupt. If anyone could tell me what year this game took place I would be very grateful

Many thanks

It appears to be the 1961-62 season and Wellington Town beat us 2-3. Our goals were scored by R. Dwight (Uncle of that great player of the chocolate starfish, Elton John) and Brooks.

Hope that helps

My mates father, who died about 10 years ago, had a large collection of football programmes which my mate neither had room for nor wanted so asked if i wanted them. They have since sat gathering dust in my mothers attic until about 2 weeks ago when i rescued them. I had forgotten how many different programmes there were, but as I have no use for them I decided Ebay was the best way of finding someone who could make use of what I don't want
