The Olympics

Recommended Posts

It's just typical that a backward European country would make a [****!!****] up of the world's greatest sporting event. I now hear that the swimming is going to be in the open because the organisers have not got things sorted and won't get the roof on in time. The swimmers will have to compete in incredible heat and you can be sure that there will be few world records broken.

I'll lay a bet that the chair of the IOC doesn't use the words "The best games ever" to describe the games at the closing ceremony. THe last time that happened was at the ovely commercial Atlanta games.

A Mate of mine has just returned from Athens.

He happened to mention the beauty of the Acropolis and the Parthenon to the tour guide, who promptly replied,

[color:"red"] "Wadda you talk about ? Thats-a-our new Olympic arena and-a-our new swiminn-a'-pool !" [color:"black"]

.....then promptly offered him another kebab !!!!!!!!!
