Have to agree with you Dave.....Jimmy Logie used to leave defenders on their rear in the mud....great body swerve.

Jeff: I think that your sarcasm needs to improve mate.

Nick Boy: lol....ok i will improve it now...
Francis Kumbur would definately be in the Best Ever 11.

Guilty as charged. I'm going to go & play trains before the kids on here annoy me too much.....

...yes well after all that! What I mean't was that collectively the squad is the best ever. Individual players will always find a place in a best ever team. Certainly Brian Woolfe was a unique player and did things I have never seen others do and Dave Bostock scored more goals running from the halfway line than any other Fleet player before on since.
However overall this is the best to date I think. (sorry about the typing earlier , I can spell memories!)

I would have to agree, it's the best collective 11 I've seen in 20 years.
Of previous players, Bruce Sewell, Matty Gubbins and clearly Jimmy Bullard would all get in now.

If this is the best collective squad ever then that makes the man who put the team together in the first place the best manager ever, doesn't it? And this is not sarcasm (!!), it just strikes me as being a reasonable conclusion.

Makes perfect sense John.
Will this season be our highest ever league finish? (in the pyramid)

Actually, come to think of it winning the SL championship would have counted as higher as that meant that we were only one place below the football league.

Jimmy, regarding Matt Gubbins - it's a view backed up previously on HERE some time ago.
I can't remember him ever having a bad game.

PS Anyone else noticed the similarity between Tom Warrilow and Chris Moore?

Well, now you mention it, I suppose they look fairly similar.

Of my 11 years' experience of watching the Fleet, I'd say that while Gubbins would probably get in, the only three I could really be sure about are Portway, Bullard and Bentley (whatever we think of him now, he was a class act last season).

And perhaps Louis Affor
