Yeah right!?
I think that they should learn how to stage an election before a major sporting event!
That is the most daft thing that I have read on this forum in a long time.
I don't think that UU was being serious!

They are learning how to stage an election at the moment, and I'm sure they will make a better job of it than FIFA! The next possible date for the World Cup finals would allow plenty of time to learn how to stage a major sporting event. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Halliburton would be willing to build them, I expect.

They could play the games in one of the bomb craters in Falluja, it wouldn't matter that any teams from the 40 odd countries that are involved in this sham of a war would be at risk from "insurgents" I'm sure it would all be fine.
Perhaps we could have the next Olympics in Somalia?

It might be possible to save excavation work by using exiating craters. I remember a bomb crater near where I grew up in Palmers Green that was used as an unofficial playground until they built a primary school on it.

Kabul already has a bid in for them.
Excellent shooting ranges by all accounts.

I'm too busy in Bavaria at the moment, where many people are outraged that there will be no Bavarian beer for sale in Munich's Olympia Stadium when the World Cup is held in Germany.

I am surprised that no one mentioned the story on Talk Sport yesterday morning, that Sepp Blater, Fifa, wants to [color:"red"] rid the game of Draws.

[color:"blue"] I have it on good authority that the Urchinette's are all in favour !!! (Or is that D-R-A-W-E-R-S ??)
