Ghosts of Fleet pasts

[Wobbly Wayne rides again]

Happened to be at the Surrey Docks Stadium today, was hoping to get a glimpse of Alex O'Reilly and Eddie McClements but alas Hamid Barr and Leroy Huggins were the only ex fleet players on view.

 

This standard suited both well, which was more than could be said of Lennie Piper( ex boro , dagger and git ) who was first to be substituted.

 

Its only after witnessing games like today that you truly appreciate how far we have moved on.

 

Up the Fleet..... and roll on next season...

Nearly went to watch Dartford today, but only nearly. Maybe I should of, down to ten men, they beat Burnham 2-1. Tostoa scored both of them before going off injured.

I was there, should have been 2-2. Burnham's late equaliser was ruled out for offside, which was a poor decision from the linesman.
