Todays another crunch day with a crunch decision and if sandy and his mates are logging in as is likely then how about you lot treating us fairly today for once. Forget all your other plans and go with us today. Give us and the community back our club, give us back our ground, give us that long awaited go-ahead. Everyones looking at your decision today and that includes the non-footballing public as well. You must know that come next elections you will be booted out UNLESS you do something immediately do stop this decline in thanet with everything and you can start that off with a positive decision about our club. Its all in your hands so please stop messing us and the community about and do the right thing.

Dear TDC

From those of us who enjoy the occasional leisure activity beyond the Turner Centre. We can travel to Ashford for a decent multiplex cinema, we can travel to Canterbury or Deal for a decent swimming pool but we would really like to watch decent football without having to travel miles from home. So please look kindly.........

you have just given a very good case for NOT having the football in Margate!

Why is it ok for me to take my kids to canterbury or Deal for leisure activities, when you arrogant, lazy football supporters want your own (minority) sport on your own doorstep!

I remember a time just a few years bak when people said margate they thought beach, dreamland, holliday...

now people think asylum center, deprived area, derilit buildings.

the only thing left to keep margate on the map is Margate FC and thats because its on the news evry day.

Margate needs the football club as a flagship for the town more than the football club needs margate imo.

if margate is ever gonna retrive any of its past glory it has to start here.

Anonymous you really don't have a clue as to what you are talking about. You obviously are a nearby neighbour to the ground and you are really not in the know at all.It may only be a game to you but to our town, to any town a football club is the moving flagship for the area.It takes the very name of margate wherever the team play. This area is deprived all too much these days and this loss of a DECENT football club will be the nail in the coffin for margate as a town and for thanet.Bet you have only been in the area for a short while too.You certainly sound like thats the case.I think it is YOU who are the selfish one here. Now go back to your hartsdown watch and try and keep us away cos' thats what you must be doing. No doubt a relative of a councillor.

It's hardly a minority sport when it's the NATIONAL game.

or of course it may simply be that anonymous wishes to stir - always mysterious why somebody who considers football a minority sport would spend time on what is clearly a football dedicated web site - or maybe they're just hopelessly lost?
