Ryman Restructuring

Recommended Posts

Is it just me oir is 46 games a season absolutely mad. Just think at what it means more pointless mid-table matches with teams having no hope of going anywhere. Not to mention the difficulty of actually fitting the matches in.
God only hopes that when the FA announce the restructuring plans, it will be Proposal C, with the conference then North & South and then the feeder leagues.
The Rymans, with Turvey, and his crew do not deserve to run a conference feeder, as they are almost as inept as the maggots that almost sent K's to the wall. all they ever do is look after their own interests.

Can't be as bad as this season though, where unless you were G&N, Canvey, Harrow or Croydon you had nothing muchg to play for by January.... Reckon we'll see maybe 7 teams battling against relegation by Easter and maybe 3 still in with a shout for the title......
Agree with you about the league restructuring but they reckon that the favourite proposal is the "3 feeders with boundaries adjusted" one.

If you think that's bad, the poor sods in Ryman Division 2 had 42 friendlies this season..with no promotion or relegation as such. How they motivated their players, supporters and sponsors God only knows. But that decision was an FA one, not the Ryman League themselves, who wanted the re-structure last season to avoid that kind of thing. Only 1 team in real terms suffered relegation in the entire League this season, that being Croydon.

In response to the top of this thread, I think that while Proposal C would undoubtedly increase excitement, it would be extremely unfair on the Ryman League sides, who would be most hit by such a change.
I am just relieved that we have escaped from the Ryman, which has always inexplicably been regarded as the most insignificant of the three feeder leagues, meaning that all of this confusion fortunately no longer affects us for the foreseeable future. smile.gif" border="0

Well, obviously I can only foresee that we will be in the Conference next season, making that the 'foreseeable future'.

I'm quite willing to accept that we stand a reasonable chance of being relegated next year, but I'm just happy that we have escaped the clutches of the Ryman for at least one season. smile.gif" border="0
