Well, now we've actually lost a National Final, know what that's like don't you SUFC?

 

We should prepare to take and receive all kinds of abuse from fans from across Essex, the Conference starting from the lowly ruins of Billericay gradually evolving to single cell organisms in Southend and upwards in brain mass through the Conference about Us/Jeff King/Park Lane/Canvey Island/Essex/Cheating/Diving/ETC. from about today till....Oooh I say about a year from now, maybe a little bit more.

 

Now we must all bear in mind that the English language may not be their primary language particularly around the Southend and Billericay areas encompassing Grays too. Some of these may only be mere 10 year old boys and we should treat them with the lack of respect that they deserve.

 

Many are probably Chavs, and following the footsteps of Merv and Cangull I feel a nice taste of the relegious prospects from our little Pub Team from Essex should deal with their sinful language and outlook on the rest of our prosperous lives

 

We look forward to their comedic contributions to this otherwise lush football topic flustered forum and may we pray to forgive them of all their wrong doings both in the past, present and future of humanity.

Matt, if you're gonna abuse every team that is local to you, what do you expect. Again, you come on like a football "snob" who would rather forget that your team was down in the "mire" oh not so long ago. As for "the ruin of Billericay", wake up and smell the air freshener will ya. We're on the way back so to that comment, I say "f**k you". If I didn't respect what your club has achieved over the past few seasons, I would hope to see them fail just to see the smug look be wiped off your face. Alas, why should other, more hounerable supporters of your club have my bad wishes just 'cos of you and your purile comments.

 

When I said I enjoyed every kick of the ball, I did. What a final!!!! 5 goals, the tug of battle swinging one way and then the other.....Bloody hell, it was a proud moment in the annals of Non League Football.

 

To be honest, I think you should count yourself proud to take part in a final that put the F A Cup final to shame. The professional game is a shambles and the comparison of the two finals showed it. Do ya wanna watch the over paid, couldn't give a toss rubbish of a sport that IS very much a contact sport or the full bloodied competition between two teams that DO want to win and ply their trade with attacking, exciting football. The latter being this afternoons Trophy Final. I'll stick with the latter.

 

Well done to Hendersford but also to Canvey. A top game.

Yeah what a game! Still gutted. Was nearly in tears at the final whistle but it wasn't meant to be today.

Yes, of course in the Holte End. The moment Lee Boylan got those two goals was unbelievable but never felt so low at the end. They used to say Wembley was a lonely place to be if you lost but Villa is just as bad.

Thanks mate. This is going to hurt for a while. We've had a great season but I feel we let ourselves down today. We made too many mistakes and were punished. Hopefully this will be forgotten if the Hammers do it next weeek.

Yeah I agree with YA. Still though, we've definately got promotion to the conference, and that means more, doing the double would of been fantastic, but I'll happily settle for the better of the two.

 

There's always next year, and maybe if we only hope to maintain a mid-league place we could concentrate on the Trophy and make it a bonus to make us feel like we've acheived something good. This season it was the league, next, who knows?

 

Would of been great to have a win today, but we can't win 'em all.

 

My birthday in 3 days so it would of been a nice touch for it.. Oh well <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Just came on here to say bad luck to you. Then the load of crap spouted from the twat at the top almost changed my mind.

But luckily YA just rescued it there.

Unlucky guys, but like you say, if youd been offered promotion and a final at the start of the season, i bet youd have bitten me hand off.

By the way, the second canvey goal was credited as an own goal. Cant remember the name, but it was the same lad who scored the winner at the end, so a nice little zero to hero story.

 

As a post script to the a*sehole who started this thread, life is a game of swings and roundabouts. You may remember being in the depths of the Ryman league not so long ago. I hope you enjoy the success your having now, but believe it or not, it wont last forever. With posts like the above, some people are going to really love it when you do finally fall from grace. Its pri*ks like you who give genuine fans like YA a bad name

Unlucky Canvey! was a great game to watch with both sides playing good attacking football!

what was the final attendance in the end cos it didnt say on Sky!

 

with a bit of luck us Urchins may meet you in the trophy next season!

dizzy, i believe it was 6,635.

 

bit disappointed with canveys turn out, they apparently had 6000 there 3 years ago, it didnt look like even half of that made it up there yesterday.

 

not sure if it was thru expecting an easy win and so not bothering or what it was.

 

hednesford apparently only sold 2000 advance tickets, but being only a 40 minute direct train ride away from villa park and a nice day i think almost as many made the trip and paid on the day.

 

what a day, what a night(not that i remember much of it), and im still convinced it was 3-0 to the super pitmen as i was still finishing my half time bevvy when some canvey bloke scored and our super match winner scored his own goal.

 

couldnt see much of the 1st goal as i was down next to the tunnel on the corner flag side of it, but what a cracking 3 kick and great strike from brinaldo for the winner <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

 

see you guys again when afc wimbledon catch you up in the conference <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

 

and as i type this they've just shown the goals again on sky sports news, fantastic <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
