Bristol Rovers fan here, just wondering if any of you Islanders have heard the rumours that rovers are after your lee boylan.

 

if this is true...is he any good? i know that he's got 43, 48 and 50 goals (ish) in his last three seasons apparently, but were they all tap ins and penalties?

I think Bristol Rovers are one of the higher claimed Clubs that we've heard are after him.

 

Yeah he's good, real good for our level. To be honest if Bristol Rovers are after Lee Boylan, they better be prepared to pay a bit for him. He signed a three year contract with us about 2 months ago so we'd want a fee to match our valuation of him....high! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

as a fan of a club who has had to sell names like zamora, cureton, roberts, ellington, hayles, stewart and taylor I know how you'll feel if he leaves your club, even if it isnt for rovers.

How can I take anything you say seriously Mr Gas when you have the perfect opportunity to get your [****!!****] over to Ashton Gate and support a decent team yet you turn your back. You cannot be serious.

 

Nowadays schools use SATs to establish children's attainment. When I lived in Bristol (the golden days of Alfie Biggs at Eastville and John Atyeo at Ashton Gate) they used to give you a simple questionnaire. City or Rovers? If you said, 'City' you were obviously one of the intelligencia, if you said, 'Rover' you went immediately to the remedial class. Simple really, but bloody accurate.

although i reluctantly agree that c*ty are in a better position than the gas at the moment, i can hardly see how you (with respect) can question my choice of team when you choose to support canvey when there are a multitude of better clubs in the london (?) area; or does your island have no transport links to britain on saturday afternoons.

 

to claim that city fans are the majority of intelligencia in bristol would be as valid as saying rovers have all the quality in the football league.

 

but i can see your point.
