A good friend of mine Oliver was speaking to me about how much he missed playing football. I joked about him coming fleet. But he didnt laugh (, I dont know whether thats because he is german or the fact that he considered it for a while).

He said there maybe a chance of playing in the conference and a I think the that Fordy should get on that phone.

But would our French/Malian understand him ?
Just imagine Andy's pre- game team talk to Moussa - "Don't mention the war or he won't pass to you"
It could turn out like that comic strip 'Striker'.

Phone the club & give them his number - if they're interested they'll phone him.

If he is prepared re: low/average wages then who knows!

I dont expect he'll settle for anything less than 1,500 euros a week (just over a grand i think, havent checked and its l8), but i think its an investment for the youth and crowd numbers.

I'll check with him and the club. I'm not his best friend in the world as i told him as a joke that germany got to the final in Japan cos he werent playing. Didnt go down too well.

Stay tuned boyz and girlz. ;-)

Must be 36 by my reckoning - only a year ago, Southampton wanted to sign him!

Roly has a signed Bierhoff shirt that could go in the boardroom as a welcome.

Of course a signed Bierhoff Gravesend shirt would be nice.

any more news on bierhoff? his contract would only be that of 2 or 3 fringe players put together so it wouldnt be that big a financial blow to the club

i was thinking the same. I mean:

a)would you expect him to take a cut in pay considering he could earn a lot more else.

b)ex-german international, scored two in Euro 96 final, would he really be willing to play in the English non-league, when who could aim for better.

don't mean to be sceptical but i am!!
