If you're signing Oliver Bierhoff, then we're getting Rivaldo!!!

Lets not get ahead of ourselves lads and ladies, im doin best to try and contact the man.

Presummably if i cant find him its because:

a) He's away laying plenty of german towels on sun loungers across Ibizas best swimming pools.

b)The german postal service isnt as efficient as i perceived.

c)He cant be bothered to talk to his mate who wants him to play along side Roy Essandoh.

It's a shame but

Has to be said, FG is doing a good job keeping people guessing as to whether he really does have influence with Herr Biergutte; just the right mix of humour & apparently straight faced "facts."

I must, however, stress that apart from the similarity in our online names, there is absolutely no connection between him & me. My self-professed genius is of a general nature, rather than being focused specifically on football (as my mediocre showing in the Prediction League proves.)

I must also point out that, were I ever to type things like "m8s" or "it were Proppa Bo" or even "boz & girlz," my computer would spontaneously combust & the Bossman of Smug, Self-Promoting Smartarses would have me forever removed from the Official Roll of Genii.

Roll on the start of the season or a couple more "real" signings so we actually have something to talk about!

Hang on here, that seems like some attack on me there. I have to say that I am actually a student at a far away university and I deal in humour, but I didnt know it was going to be my downfall on the fleet forum. Im just trying to be a mediator between the club and Oliver.

I will try to give information in a formal manner in future. I hope that I am not leading the ppl on with a a rumour. I admit that the evidence is not so conclusive at this moment in time.

Its hard to get through to a bloke who I have met a few times in my life and then try and change his life. He doesnt speak great English and my translator/sister is working very hard so it is just going to take time. Im doing all the running here, I would prefer support rather than sceptism.

Thank you

Calm down old boy, no one is having a pop at you.

But if you sit down and read this in the cold light of day, is does seem to be reather unlikely.

Personally, I hope you can swing it, so more power to you elbow <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Mr H is right, FG, I really wasn't having a pop. In fact I thought I was paying you a compliment in the first paragraph.

As for the rest, if you read it again, I'm sure you'll see it was entirely tongue in cheek, with self mockery more in evidence than anything directed at you. Re. the non-standard English, I don't have any problems with that, though admittedly I can't stand the self conscious gangsta jargon - dis, dat, de, etc of your average 15 year old. My comment about your occasional deviation was more a reflection on our generational differences. You're young enough to use it. I'm not. Like you, I too went to university, but I'd graduated, I should imagine, before you were much more than a gleam in your dad's eye.

We geniuses have to stick together, old boy.

Besides which having a Anglo Saxon leading the Line would be deemed racist and I for one would revoke my support.

Would the GNFC Bar theme change into a Bavarian Beer Cellar?

"Stein" litre Glasses (forgive the spelling), Frauleins in Germanic Folk Clothing serving Strong Beer, dancers in Lederhosen, I think its a winner.

Sorry that you only joined the fleet after they got promoted. Arsenal and stoke are better than fleet. I have a lot of connections in the footy worl. Im only 19, but i put myself on the line. I know akinbiyi and shaw and i know Parlour, and ive supported both teams for the while, so SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Presume this is a windup?

Strange I thought from Milan, Monaco to Gravesend would be a step up?
