Real shame. Think the league derbies would have done football and the clubs both inside and outside of the borough the world of good. Good luck all the same.

We'll be playing Ilford instead. Not such a crowd-puller, but more chance of a result.

So, no playing Enfield Town at Brimsdown on boxing day in front of 1000+....Probably be something like Flackwell Heath away in front of 35.

The two clubs will probably never meet in a league match,now...unless EFC win promotion this season.

The gate money would have been nice, but that's about it. We would have whipped your asses anyway! Could you have handled that humiliation? <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

As I understand it, and I'm probably wrong, and a board or committee or the FA or the Girl Guides or someone will probably change it all by then anyway, but...

if EFC and ETFC both win promotion next season, won't EFC go into Ryman 1 and ETFC into SL1?

Not necessarily. All promoted and relegated sides will, from now on, be placed in an allocation pool and assigned to the league that is most geographically sensible. As the League's are structured at the moment, promotion for either club is likely to result in a Southern League place but this may change over time depending on the locations of future promoted and relegated clubs.

Believe EFC officals phoned and asked for a pre season friendly, @ Ware, as they are already short of cash

Taking Southport's point, why are they off to Newport IOW?

Do I take it that there is nobody out there who knows?

That ought to be a bit worrying!

Why shouldn't we be playing a friendly with Newport IOW? They obviously want to play us...

The last friendly with Newport IOW was deemed to be a great success. I remember the year after, playing them in the FA Cup or Trophy. Should be a good day out if it can be funded.

I would imagine it is because we already have a VERY full list of pre-season friendlies.

Let's hope it's an ETFCvEFC draw in the Middlesex Senior Cup this season. What a great evening it was in the Charity Cup last year and the Senior Cup should ensure that both clubs field pretty much a first choice team.

By the way, which FA competition are EFC in this season now that you are in Ryman 2? Is it the Trophy or the Vase?

It's usually the Fa Vase at this level Mr. H.
