To go in parallel with the dodgy keepers thread. what about keepers who were worth standing behind the goal to watch or who always had a chat etc.

Two or three that come to mind from the conference in the eighties were
Trevor Dance (the headline writers dream)
Kevin Charlton
?? Ryan (Northwich keeper) Can't remember his first name but he made up for all the rest of the grumpy team and supporters from The Drill Field

I've got to give our old friend Gary Phillips a mention , Always got plenty of stick from the E's faithful due to his barnet connections ,But Gary never allowed anything to put off his concentration. Always gave 100% right up to his packing it in.A true semi pro.
