Hi All

Picked up a couple of streetmaps today (training to be a cabby) and have noticed that in one of them , Gravesend and Northfleet FC have now been relocated about half a mile back into town to the East of Lawn Road, Opposite Council Avenue.

This is in the AA Street by Street Guide.

Either that , or I am reading the map wrong which doenst bode well for a would be cabby.

Perhaps that shark Scally has shares with the publishers, and the ground shown is the projected site for the Scally Astrodome.

Reply from publishers below.

Thank you for your email dated 13th March 2004, regarding the error that you found in the above publication, concerning Gravesend & Northfleet Football club. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Our Street by Street atlases were entirely based on various and complex Ordnance Survey datasets when first launched. Customer reaction has generally been very favourable particularly with the design and clarity of our mapping, which we have introduced.

Thank you once again for bringing the amendment of Gravesend & Northfleet Football Club location to our attention. This amendment will be added to our files to be included in the revised edition of our Kent and Greater London Atlases. We appreciate any information, which will help us to maintain the accuracy of the mapping database, and are grateful that you took the time to write to us. I regret your dissatisfaction and apologise for any inconvenience that has been caused to you.

Yours sincerely
Jon Bygate

So there you are , in one afternoon we have been moved and moved back again.

Scallys plan has been foilded by the phantom map reader.
