Is that the Dave Hassett who played for Dartford? He caught the eye when I saw him play early on for Dartford last season - tall striker with good skill for that level - might be a good backup for Essendoh?

Canvey had a scout in the stand for the Welling game . . .

Another unconvincing result especially as we still had a strong looking team out.

 

I'm beginning to get concerned that the players arent gelling when on paper we have a better squad than last season.

Shouldn't worry too much about last nights result. The whole defence will be different on opening day eg Moore Shearer Gledhill Porter and Skinner, plus other certain starters Mckimm Saunders Essendoh and Maybe Manny were all missing against Sittingbourne. Also on a tight pitch Moussa had very little room although his pace did prize out a good opportunity in the second half. Sittingbourne looked well organised and very committed and if you get that on a small pitch it's very difficult to break a side down, I can't see them losing too many if any on their patch next season
