Right briefly...., Vic Searle (our previous owner and chairman) was manager at the end of the last season, he introduced Tony Theo as our new owner and chairman to the club, things were going well, Tony was investing money in to the club and things were looking good for the season, basically Vic agreed with Tony (verbally and a handshake) that he would transfer the shares to him this was delayed and last week Vic transferred the shares to two new owners, who do not have the best reputations and who tried to take control of four other clubs before ours, these were the same guys that Vic said "he would not let them anywhere near our club", he has gone behind people's backs and the fans are not happy. Tony admits that he was naive and he should have made sure the shares were transferred before he put money into the club. He admits that he made an error but we all trusted Vic before this happened.

Basically, they tried to offer Tony 50% of the shares he has rejected this and is continuing to fight to get the club back. Basically the fans are 100% BEHIND Tony and the new guys have NO SUPPORT at all. We have got up to 500 signatures on the petition, we have had a lot of support from fellow clubs which is very good. These two new guys or Pinky and Perky as we call them, have not spoken to us, we have tried to speak to them and they are not interested, they have not told us of their plans for the future, we don't want them at the club. They need to be forced out, Tony was going to leave on Fri but he was overwhelmed by the support shown in him he is continuing to fight for this and we are right behind him. Sorry for the length of the post but this is a brief but full account of the story.

In a nutshell, yes, Vic Searle was given the shares by Westley but he said he would give them to Tony. Tony has invested a lot of money into this club and yes he has been taken for a ride by Vic Searle who is very much hated by the club now. It would be appreciated if as many of you as possible can sign this petition. Posters and banners for Tony Theo to stay are being created for the game at Hereford on Saturday and at home to Barnet on Tuesday. We were going to boycott the game but I think we are going to watch the game and vent our feelings towards these two guys (one is ron higgins and the other is tony turberville)
