SO FAR SO GOOD?

3 games 3 draws.. chances to have won and lost all three of em..

do you consider this a good start or not?

lets face we arnt ever quick off the blocks and away to carlisle and home to the fleet (who are unbeaten on the road for about 6 years now) are two excellent results.. ok maybe we hoped for a home win against tamworth but at 2 nil down a point would have done nicely ...

another tough trip out west on saturday and much as i hate to say it if we nick a point ill be more than happy..

COME ON YOU YELLOWS!!!

A good start, that could be better. I feel we could've easily taken all three points from Tamworth when we took the lead Saturday, and Duffers had the most blatant chance to make it 4-2. Unfortunate that his step-over rather than shot allowed Tamworth to counter-attack down the other end and score the equaliser, just seconds later.

Can't comment on Carlisle or Gravesend as I wasn't there. But I do feel slightly robbed of three points due to our own un-doing. But it's still a point in the bag and we're 14th - About where I expect us to finish.

Fairly happy with the football side of it but the atmosphere during games at Park Lane this season has been terrible. There`s hardly any singing (i`m guilty of this as well) and all we seem to do is get on a players back if they make a mistake. Instead of getting behind our team in our first season at the top level we seem to be turning into a group of moaners and you can feel it on the terraces.

Bring back the drum or any other method to get things going.

it is true, being at the away end for the tamworth game was a little embarrassing as they were singing their hearts out and all our fans could muster was a rather half hearted 'YELLOW'.

with the team not doing very well for the 1st part of the game maybe the fans should give them a hand.

we have one of the smallest crowds and grounds in the league. we need to make park lane one of the most intimidating places to be. shout scream and sing our boys to victory,

  • 2 weeks later...

3 more games gone now.. we have now covered all points of the compass on our travels and the away record looks good.. got to be pleased with a point at scarboro after being one down..

bit more disapointing at home but we have played no.1 and no.3 and we were 2 down against tamworth ..

5 points clear of relegation .. roll on farnboro.. looking doomed at the start of the season then win their last two games.. just our luck really ;-)

Looking forward to welcoming you Saturday. Just don't expect us to roll over like we did last time - that was a one (six?) off!

Funnily enough we started singing 'We're going to win the Cup' as you thumped us, and we did - the Hampshire Senior Cup. So the power of positive thinking lives!

See ya
