Conference Cup

When does the Conference cup start. i heard there was a drw at the end of August or something telling you about it.

Anyone know any info?

Sorry 4 + 2. Don't agree. Theres two few midweek matches already in the conference. Our squad is big enougth to take it seriously. Any supporter that can remember our SL Cup win back in the seventies will appreciate how good it can get.

Actually, I don't think our squad is big enough at the moment, if we get another couple of players in the perhaps, but with only 19 players signed up we only have 3 spare at any one time.

 

Injuries and suspensions could soon take them out.

A League and cup double would go down well. Though we are looking quite good right now I still believe that the F A Cup is out of our reach.

Arguably, any supporter who can remember the Full Members Cup knows that a mickey-mouse competition is only any good if you get to the final. Try as the Conference might, no-one's going to take this seriously until the latter stages, by which time anyone's who's knocked out will be past caring.

Recorded as a result as our SL Cup win. Just another reason for taking part properly. Could be another classic just around the corner.

Well maybe we shouldent take it seriously, I hope we do. The more games the merrier.

OK Alan I bow to your superior knowledge. I can only say that I bought mine on the day of the home leg of the final. I no longer have it. I do have a copy of John Peels double album of football songs. It gives it as 1977 on that. Perhaps it was re-recorded or similar. Its a classic album. Anybody heard the Fisher FC song or the Singing Nolans Blackpool, Blackpool. Go and buy it now.

Wasn't it also the last game of the season before when Sewell hit a stunning equaliser AGAINST us for Borehamwood.
