Hi Guys

Please excuse the intrusion but we, the mighty St Albans City FC, have just signed Ben Walshe who I believe played for you last season.

Any views on his ability, best position, etc etc would be most welcome.

TIA.

Left winger, tricky, quick, looks a bit like Chris Waddle with a mullett, can score goals, and we were all very sad to see him leave Stonebridge road. a very good Conference player. If he can stay fit (and he was often the target of some brutal tackles) he could well be your star player.
You have got a good 'un there.

Good luck from us at the Fleet.

Couldn't agree more and he's a great club man too!
A big disappointment, for many Fleet fans, that he wasn't offered a new contract.

He had his weaknesses - in particular, his corners were often poor - but should do a good job in Conference South.

Agree with you JC, but we always had plenty of other people to take corners. Prothers always cuffed in a dangerous inswinger for Shearer, Moore of Essy to get on the end of.

What the hells he doing at that level. Don't know the ins and outs, but it looks to me like a rare Fordy error to me. Don't know if he did but he should have done everything to keep him.

How come St.Albans can afford him? as I understood it was opting from fulltime to part time that was the problem with us,shame he was a good player.

I think Ben Walshe is pure quality, i agree with The Raver that we should of done everything we could to keep him. i heard that the reason he never singed was not money but he wanted to stay in full time football which is why im so surprised!!!
Anyway goodluck Ben!!!!

Up Da Fleet!!!
