Our Boxer Amir Khan

Recommended Posts

Man, do you ever learn? My wife and I decided to opt out because it was getting heavy. You just cannot let things go, can you!

As I've already said, this thread is about a boxer who decided to fly the flag of Pakistan, yet he is in a country of his birth.

I have no problem with flying the flag of the country you're born in. I cannot see the problem with that. When you attack my wife for saying she's had enough, then that is where I will step in.

You are obviously a guy that cannot handle with patriotism, and cannot deal with being wrong.

Look over the course of this thread, and see how wrong you are. What you are saying, is when I'm in America, I have to support America's football team, and not England. I seriously doubt that will happen, but you already knew that. You are just trying to get a rise out of people that are passionate for their own countries.

The evidence is here in this thread. You attack anyone, and everyone that has a go at you. Plain and simple. I don't care about that, because I know I WILL be in your country in 2 weeks, and I will be living there. Get used to it.

Please, stop being hypocrytical, because it's not worth it. I WILL be there, and you cannot stop me from being there, flying my country's flag, and being ENGLISH.

This is DCI Harris from the internet police station. I have passed on the offending poem to Mr Bush via E:Mail. I'm currently awaiting a reply from the White House.

I thing you are a bit oblivious to this argument. I took personal offence to someone LONG before that guy came into it.

So, the real argument is this: I go to America for x amount of years. I am then duly bound to be an American citizen, regardless? I shall support everyting America does? I shall be a supporter of the American national soccer team?

Then what happens? I come back to England, and all of a sudden, I'm an England fan again! Screw that! I am English, I am and England fan. Always will be, always have been.

I am not going to let this one slide.. Let's all go back and read a few posts from each of them. On one hand you have Bloodlust, a reasonable man who is passionate about his country. His posts are legible and well thought out. On the other hand we have the other one who seems to only be out to attack with anything he can. Bloodlust is not attacking anyone with anything. The other one doesn't seem to have a point in all of this, or if he does, it is changing each time the wind blows, to suit the mood of the moment.

I could go on for hours pointing out the differences. There is NO way in hell they are anything alike, and the original point of all this was that a person can live in one country and still be loyal to the country of his birth. Hell, if we move to outer Mongolia, we will be flying an England flag AND an American flag in front of the house.. get it.. ? Just because you live in one country does not mean you have to stand up for their anthem or fly their flag.

Geez.. I'll be back with more in a bit, because I am sure there is quite a bit more that I can say on this.

We all have our opinions........and as i keep saying...........you have yours.....i will have mine.

You are NOT duly bound to become a Citizen just because you live here. I have become a Citizen after 4 years of Paperwork, interviews and cost.

When you are sworn in you have to take the Oath o Allegiance In my opinion.......if you don't believe what you are saying, don't say it!

I made the comment because Bloodlust started AGAIN with no provoking post from FLEET...

Lady...it is you and your boyfriend that have the problem...the same problem that Mark Flag has,...we have an opinion and it is different to yours and you don't like it....

Now, go away and enjoy your life....

Jeez, some people, eh, FLEET...

Er... boyfriend? Let's get this right. We ARE married. Once again, some people have opinions that don't exactly agree with others. I respect their opinions. That doesn't mean that we have to agree.

Damn, this was a good argument before some unopinionated git came along.

Does Fleet support the American national soccer team, since he says he moved there 4 years ago? I will always be an England supporter, therefore, I will always be English.

Not boyfriend, husband. We hardly have the same problem. We stick to what we are saying and don't go off on attacking tangents. There is nothing wrong with discussing differences of opinion.
