Ah yes.....the season of the big gob has, regretfully, arrived !!!

Enjoy your trip mate !! Be prepared to trip up also !! No one likes

the old big gob sunshine !!! Or do you think you have a divine right to beat so called "lesser sides " aka part timers ??? Be prepared to meet thy doom sucker !!

Regards,

PS...didn't think that the Mappi Mundai ( apologies for spelling !) was all that but liked the Chained Library though.... & did have a couple of good Ciders down your way !!

Cheers,

Methinks you treacherous celts from the wild shires of the west will find yourselves hung, drawn and quartered, and your heads displayed atop pikes in The Plough's beer garden.

Perhaps if there were more jobs & things to do that didn't involve sheep then perhaps more people would want to be where you are, rather than in an already over-populated South-East.

Then again, we could just send you all the asylum seekers. Maybe you could use them as pets or something.....

Ah the old sheep joke! The welsh [***!!***] sheep-Hereford is one of the most beautiful city"s in ENGLAND.

From another thread-If we bring 700 you may get the "holy grail"of 2000.Whats the point of having a good side if no-one bothers to go and watch them? Surely the prize at the end of all this is Football League status. You clearly will never be able to support this however well you play.

Oh right, sorry. We'll just give up then, shall we? Feel free to take our good players, we'll sign some crap ones. Thanks for showing us the light, Dickie.

I'd argue what's the point in having a good team if you lose to part-timers in the play-offs. You'll clearly be just a slightly above-average Conference side... grin.gif

Because its better than having a crap side that even less people watch. we have been there as well.

We all know the limitations of the ex league clubs in the conference, as they have been there and have already peaked, whereas us , who knows where it might end up, we have not reached anywhere near our peak yet. We are on the up.

Good point,well made Stu.

Just thought I would whip you up in to a frenzy properly as the original poster was clearly trying to do!You will start hot favourites on Saturday and should have no problems against an ex-league club on the way down.

A frenzy Dickie...? Quite the contrary, old boy, I'm lying here chomping on an overlarge cigar, blowing out smoke rings in the shape of Andy Ford's head and quaffing champagne, utterly relaxed about the prospect of facing an "ex-league club on the way down".

PS. Naturally, I'll be deleting this post if you somehow fluke a win...

In our Ryman League-winning season, I believe the attendance at the start of the season were 'around 500'. As the season went on and it became clear we would be battling at the top, these figures rocketed. Then they increased again when we started in the conference.

I suspect that should this fantastic run continue, they will rise further. Considering we compete for support with Gillingham, Charlton & (to be honest) all the big London clubs (London being less than an hour away), we are doing just fine for now.

Don't forget to leave us 3 points on your way out!

AH ! How the other half live! Those smoke rings must be a very unusual shape thats all I can say!

I am sat over -looking the river as it meanders gently down past the black and white cottages through the city, sipping a cool pint of cider and watching the rowing and thinking shall I go to Gravesend on Saturday to see my beloved Bulls get slaughtered!
