Am I watching the same games as some of the previous posters?Moore has been a bit iffy in most games this season,I don`t think he has found many players with his clearances.Wilkerson fills me with dread every time he has to deal with a back pass and Manny seems to be a bit of a luxury at the moment.Let`s start the Barnet game with full backs that can defend ie. Skinner and Gledhill.Start with Roy and Pinnock up front,Porter(if fit)and Shearer at centre backs,A midfield of Drury,Saunders,Surey and McKimm is operating quite well at the moment although Macca gives away possession a bit too often for my liking. Is Jacko likely to be fit?I think we have more balance when Jacko is on the left side, and I reckon Skins is more comfortable when Jimmy is in front of him.Just a few observations, what does anyone else think?

I disagree about Manny being a luxury. I thought he would be at the start of the season, but he's weighed in with two goals and, if Drury's having an off day, he's the only player creating anything or running at defences. Perhaps he and Roy haven't quite clicked as a partnership, but I think he's much better than a mere 'luxury'.

Agreed Stu M. You'd be a fool to drop Manny. He's class and scares the hell out of defences when he runs at them, u only have to tell by his 1st half performance on Saturday. Everyones jumping on the Roys our no.1 striker bandwagon. I think Jefferson is a better player. Roys excellent with his head but very average with his feet in my opinion.

i m o we need a keeper who talks to the defenders he is the only person on the pitch who can see every thing thats happening ?he needs to be constantly telling those in front of him if a player needs picking up I don't think either keeper does this its an area fordy needs to look at closely with a keeper that controls his defencewe would look much more confident right through the team

Mannys the man. How could anyone think of leaving him out. (FF maybe) Alright he hasn't been in the game as much as we would have liked in the last couple of games, he's been up against some excellent defending, but he's still had some quality moments, same applies to Drury, although I don't expect FF to agree with me. IMO were not going to get the best out of Drury if we bypass him like we did in the Second Half on Saturday, he needs a free role, and I can't see that happening with our attacking wing backs.

And we can't leave Moore out either, our best defender.

I have to say that you are a complete pillock.

I have not even mentioned Manny, who I think has been one of our better players when we haven't performed at full gear.

Now, if all you are going to do is continue to decide what I am or am not going to say then do us all a favour and **** off.

Your arguments have no construction and you seem to have some sort of obsession with what I do or do not think - quite unhealthy really.

How long have you had that inferiority complex?

Well said, Darren. It was my team suggestion against Barnet that originally left Manny out.

My thoughts still stand.

This is one game we are NOT going to be attacking for long periods of the game, nor are we going to be hitting it long for our forwards to chase.

That is why I opted for a more defensive line up, with 4 "battlers" in midfield, and Roy & Pinns up front who can hold the ball, awaiting support.

We have a very talented squad, you can perm any starting 11 from 19.

However, Andy will look at each game, each opposition and decide how best to get a result.

At the end of the day, it is just a bit of fun. Andy choses.

He is the BEST manager the club has ever had, let us not forget it.

Drop Wilko - partly as a result of saturday / partly as Mitten deserves a run. Protheroe prefers midfield so stick him on the right where he can still launch those crosses into the box, with Gledhill back to defend like a defender. Skinner back at left-back - why not have Lovell on left of midfield to attack down the left?

Pinnock on from the start - not afraid to throw himself at the ball in the box, with the big guns of Louis / Essandoh / Sidibe to come on later in the match, providing no injuries come about.

Drop Drury - too inconsistent right now. <img src="/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> Jackson not even in the equation. <img src="/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> Porter out injured. <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Mitten

Gledhill Shearer Moore Skinner

Protheroe McKimm Saunders* Lovell

Omoyimni Pinnock

Bench: Louis Wilko Surey* Sidibe Essandoh

(Not sure whether to select Saunders / Surey!)
