Just because I've never been to the 'holy place' that is Stonebridge Road doesn't mean I can't follow the mighty 'Fleet'!

See you all at Accrington?

Chow!

Unfortunately got to miss this one.

Which is a shame as theres a decent boozer just outside the ground, and if the games as exciting as last years ( If only we could have held on) the journey would be worth the while.

Enjoy your day.

I, and a good few others could have gone if enough people signed up for the coach. Only £25 return as well. What a waste.

It is a shame that some have to miss out. Can't understand why we can't even fill one coach!

Did we not have the possibility of a smaller coach/ minibus last season? If so, perhaps the option could be looked at again for those cases where there is insufficient support for a full sized coach??

yes that would be better get a minibus of 15-25 seater and they are cheaper, you can get a driver as well and they would be filled.
when we went to Hudderfields me and friend went up on a minibus and it was great fun.

A problem that was highlighted by the Barnet coach was the 4 people who booked places but didn't turn up. There may have been a genuine reason for it but the result was there may not have been enough money to pay for the coach as one pays on the day. Neither the club or the trust pays for travel, travel has to pay for itself and if the takings are short who funds the balance? It's also frustrating that we took some 300 bodies to Barnet but couldn't fill the coach.

The Accy coach would cost in the region of £950, give or take a bit so if 4 people who should be paying £25 each fail to show, that's a shortfall of £100 that someone has to shell out for. As a result, fares will probably have to paid for at time of booking, which, in return, will probably put some people off booking in the first place.

It's a crying shame, or some may say a disgrace, that we can't get 50 supporters to go to an away game on the official coach. A Dartford supporter I spoke to recently said they manage to run one to virtually every match. A team that attracts some 1400 less fans per match can do it but we can't.

Admittedly, some folk prefer driving or going by train but the coach is a great laugh, especially if you've hidden a few illegal beers under your jam sandwiches in the obligatory Tescos bag!!

A trip to somewhere like Accy will need two drivers even with a minibus. That's where most of the cost comes from.

Total nightmare!

While my wife and daughter were at a theatre in L**ds last night some bas*ard nicked our car! She's travelling down to Rugby today so she's having to use my VW Camper. Which leaves me 'transportless'.

I have to be in L**ds by 6pm this evening to pick up our daughter from dancing lessons so, my trip over to Accy is OFF! Can't possibily do it on the train and get back in time!

BLOODY HELL!!!!!!!!!!! Thieving, thieving bas*ards!

To honest, with the kind of form the boys are in, it's very much in my mind to make a visit before new year!

As you know matters conspired against me yesterday! I'd decided not to watch the Terriers at Bristol City and take 40min drive over the hill into Lancashire to check out the Fleet at Accy instead. I thought it would be a game where the boys could consolidate their league position and as it turned out, they did - Brilliantly!

As it happens the police informed me at about 10am that my car had been found abondoned on the A64 near York so I had to 'bus it' over there and with help from the RAC, it's now in a garage with a broken stearing colomn. Those thieving b*****ds reek untold havoc and while there's no point in going 'off the end' over it now, at the time I could have cheerfully choked 'em to within a breath of their lives

But back to more enjoyable things - yeah, a trip to Stonebridge Road would/will be a fantastic!

Cooooooooome Oooooooooooooon Yooooooooooooooooou Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds!

The only way to insure that these little scum bags don't do it again is to go far, far beyond "within a breath of their lives" <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
