What went wrong at the 'shots' ??

Hmm, what went wrong?

I don't know really, it was just another defeat and the hands of a team that although they didn't look anything special they managed to pull a result out of the bag.

I think only one or two players were actually attempting something last night, JK and Wardy were doing their jobs and Spnecer Knight changed the game when he came on... albeit 20 minutes too late!

The only good thing to come out of the game was we only conceeded one goal! Yet it was Aldershot's first corner of the game and they scored - and I have to admit from where I was standing I would've given it!

Still bring on Hampton and then prepare for the showdown with Stimmo's Grays!!!

Well, I suppose if it was in the paper it must be true!

Certainly Shots goal was 'iffy' and, had it not been allowed, we would have had a 0 - 0 draw. But I stand by my views of the game that, apart from the last 15 minutes, this was not the Canvey performance that we had seen in the previous 14 goal games.

I notice that there was no 'by line' on the Echo report, so you have to ask, if Dick Marshall didn't write it, who did? I stood amongst the travelling Yellow Army (just a small platoon on Tuesday, if I'm honest) to take my notes and everybody around me was being far more critical of the performance that I was in my match report.

Matt and I often get criticised for writing negative match reports but I really don't see the point in writing about brilliant performances, creative or imaginative play, etc, etc, if that simply isn't the truth.

I wonder if anyone else who watched the game has got an opinion?

i have, we defended better, but they wanted it more that us and seemed to win every second ball. we had some good chances to score and only allowed them two shots all night. But we seem to skip the midfield out alot, but saying that john kennedy had a great game.i would like to lee boylan back in the starting 11 and a place for spencer knight on the left but that is just my opinion.
