I feel so embarassed and ashamed of today's performance! I believe that some of those players playing today should just walk out the Club before they get kicked out!!!

Slough Town absolutely wiped the floor with us today, I know it's the magic of the cup but if we can't beat them then bugger me what will we do this season?

I've read the messages on the Slough board and I have to agree with them, only Danny Potter and at times Jeff Minton looked bothered today. Very surprised the JK got sent off today, he'll now miss the Bedford game Tuesday

I reckon 5 or 6 players will be leaving very shortly, I'll leave you to decide who!!

If anyone wants a recipe for pumpkin soup or pumpkin pie, please email me. I've got hundreds - he, he, he.

Pumpkin - your days are numbered.

When the team was announced, we knew there would be a problem at the back. All in all however, there was a problem round most of the side.

Harrison and Parms mentioned that there was this bug doing the rounds and a lot of players were affected. Apparently some played today who have been affected by the bug so that may have been an excuse, for some.

To miss Wardy and Chenners today, you could feel that things were set up just right for Slough. Slough were a yard faster to most balls. We looked so slow at times that it appeared we had also played last night.

For me, I would like to see the more familiar faces out there from last season when they become available, as soon as possible, and try to build something from there.

It will be interesting how we will go on from here. On today's performance, you cannot see us achieving anything and to stay in the premier will be a bonus. Be interesting also to hear Jeff's comments about today as he was not looking forward to this one. Will he put it down to sickness, a team not used to playing together, and will today lead to any changes, or is it something you expect in a cup game.

I'm not sure where Forbes was playing today. He seemed to be in JK's old role. Forbes has the skill to go past players but was lacking in speed today. I would of liked Forbes to have played forward more so that he could set up more moves around the box and JK to go where he plays best, on the right.

So many other things I would like to mention but I just can't be bothered!

I didn' hear BBC Essex as I was driving home from Slough after the game yesterday, but I understand that Jeff did an interview and he wasn't too happy.

He said something to the effect of, 'We scored in the 4th minute, and after that we were atrocious...some players will be leaving us now over the next week or two... I am not sure if it is arrogance or apathy... but some players have played their last game for this club.'

Let's hope the poor performance was due to a bug or flu. If it is though, strange how it has been hanging around for several weeks now!

I've just been on the BBC Essex website and you know they have every result involving Essex teams apart from ours!!!

I wanted to read a BBC Essex summary of the game, but it's like we didn't even play yesterday! (I know we didn't but a least we turned up <img src="/forums/images/icons/grin.gif" alt="" />)
