Second half again when kicking towards the 'kop' we p****d all over Leigh as if they were not there.........

Great to see Roy get a couple always deserves it - shame manny and Moussa didnt score but their performances were awesome as usual......

Drury has staked his claim with a ten minute cameo where he deserved to score.......

great game all round........

Well that first half was abysmal, but it wasn't as though we were particularly bad, just couldn't seem to get going. If we start that way against the Shots on Tuesday they're going to punish us, Leigh should of outplayed us in that first half but simply weren't good enough.

But the second half was always going to see us get a couple of goals against Leigh considering how they played. Finally managed to get going, and credit to Andy for doing whatever he done in the dressing room and stopping the defence playing so deep.

Thought Islam made a comfortable debut and as Richard C said, Drury staked his claim. It was Pinnock's chance today to stake his, but unfortunately he missed that good one on one he had near the end. But all the lads played well today and Mckimm made up for that scorcher into the sky with a lovely header 5 mins later. All looks good.

First half rubbish, second half class showed and leigh collapsed, their number 6 had a torrid time and will know doubt soon be playing in the conference north, well done to the lads and good luck for the next 3 games (cant attend due to work and family commitments)so looking forward to my next game which will be carlisle.

Carlisle will also be my next game!!!! Depending on who we get in the FA CUp 4th qualifying. I have a Chelsea season ticket and they have Everton at home when we play Carlisle but I would rather go and watch the Fleet.

Thought the first half was a mirror of the way we played in the first half of last season - plenty of effort, but no great creativity. However, terrific turn around after the break !! Good passing, movement and determination to win the ball. The quality of each of the goals was excellent, we didn't pick up any bookings and the crowd of 1300+ wasn't far off double that of last seasons meeting.

The only negative point IMO, was that Andy didn't make the substitutions after the third rather than the fourth goal. Fully agreed as to the players to rest, but just felt that, with a big game on Tuesday and this game sewn up, it would have made sense to rest those three as early as possible, whilst giving a more meaningful run-out for the subs.

Can't wait for Tuesday !

I dont really think an extra 10 minutes on the pitch, will make much difference to Moussa, Roy & Manny.

We could have had 6 or 7 today - Leigh became demoralised very easily in the second half.

With Andy Drury hitting the post and heading wide and Pinno's one on one saved by the keeper, it was a serious second half performance - ok, so Leigh weren't the greatest of opposition second half, but in seasons gone by, we would have still only scraped a 1-0 win or even only drawn the game, based on our first half efforts.

Thought Taffy did well enough in his short time on the pitch - he's probably only ever played in front of a handful of supporters before now, so to come on with 1300 people watching must have been quite frightening. He almost set up Pinno and did set up Drury for his drive that hit the post. Had Pinno squared the ball rather than trying to squeeze an effort past the keeper at his near post late on, he could easily have been celebrating with a goal.

Several classy moments in the second half today for the goals - Prothers excellently placed free kick, Moussa's pace to get between 2 defenders and exquisite chipped cross to Roy, Ben's excellent through ball to Roy for the third, when most were expecting him to play the ball out wide, and the general team play for the 4th goal.

Biggest disappointment was conceding a goal - mind you, the ref contributed to that, by allowing the kick to be taken away from the place the foul occurred and, at the time he was trying to speak to Pinno(?) - it could have saved Pinno from a booking though !!

Great save from Wilko previously, when he had been redundant for the rest of the game until then.

Interesting to see that only ourselves and Crawley are in amongst the full timers and only York of the full timers are down the table. Shows the merit of our efforts to date.

You are not the only one. Most would rather watch the Fleet .. Plenty of goals and attacking footie.. You don't get that at the Bridge !

It's not the football Chelsea play it's the lack of passion. At the bridge we sing for about twenty seconds and then sit down for about ten minutes.

Exactly. Sitting down at a footy match is just wrong! It’s like a going to the cinema or the theatre. I think it’s time to rip out the seats and just manage the numbers of fans that attend the games better. It will be a sad day when I have to sit to watch GNFC! (Unless it’s a cup final of course. Got to make some exceptions! )

Oh and if this !$@#! forum logs me out of it own accord one more time I am going to get quite upset!
