I still think we have a hangover from the last few games of last season where then and now I feel that our approach and build up play toward goal takes far too long. This then allows the opposition to defend in numbers, thats my theory anyway!!

I have noticed that too, we seem to take ages going forward so by the time we do get near the goal teams always seem to have all there players back. Im confident we will start scoring regualy soon though

Probably for the same reasons we declined Burton's request - why should we make our part-time players get up earlier on Saturday morning when they were probably all working the day before?

For what it's worth I don't think you need to panic at all. While neither side looked particularly impressive on Saturday you didn't look too fragile and there are at least five worse sides in this league than either of us.
If you can consolidate this season, perhaps strengthening as the season goes on, you can look to improve next time. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised by your ground as well (having read some negative comments on confguide and elsewhere). It's not one of the bigger ones but is tidy and reasonably well looked after. If you're interested in how the club looks to outsiders I can tell you we were well looked after by everyone from the very helpful car-park attendant to the club secretary and the stewards.
Good Luck.

nice to hear a happy report from visiting fans, sometimes i feel that a few supporters come on and just slag off the lane and canvey just because it is the thing to do.
