Don't let Drury leave!! Start him on Tuesday.

Refused to warm down after the game, while the team were warming down he was kicking the ball at the wall looking angry. Whats going on. Alos had a 15 minute talking to from one of the coaches.

if he cant take being dropped let him leave sorry m8 i know his a class player but jesus we dont need sulky players just because there sub or taken off its a team game pal

If he can't take being dropped them perhaps he needs to develop his passing skills a bit more.
Class player - yes. Team player - no.

I said that it would all end in tears with Drury.

Look at our results since he has been dropped and Moussa has come in on right hand side

W2-1 v Dagenham

W2-1 v Accrington

W4-1 v Leigh RMI

so we are not exactly struuggling he must accept he is part of an extremely strong squad but unlike Pinnock he seems to be sulking and not just getting on with it.

Is it really that bad that he was sulking coz he wants to be playing?

I'd say that that makes him a stronger player who is willing to fight for his place in the team, but was annoyed at only getting 15 minutes on saturday, when he came on earlier at accrington. He's the same when he gets subbed when he starts a game. He gives 100%, and wants to be part of the starting 11 every week. not a bad thing, surely?

Macca said that he can understand why he's being like it, because he wants to play 90 minutes every week.

He's a top quality player, and I think that he woulda come on sooner on saturday had proths not have opened out account.

He may be a stroppy little git, but he's got the skills. Moussa wasn't at his best on saturday, that could be seen first half.

I think that he's taken it the wrong way, the fact that he was injured and then hasn't been able to get his place back because we have so many midfielders.

We can't let him leave, and before anyone says anything about who's posted this, it's purely because he's a skillful player who we'll need over the coming months.

Fordy could all of a sudden decide to do a Sven, and play a diamond, and Andy is the player to stick behind the front two in that sort of situation. He Mustn't leave, not that he will.

No player worth their salt is happy to left out, and he's no different. I don't think the manager would want it any other way. In his defence he trained Tuesday, played 90 Minutes for the reserves Wednesday and came in and trained on Thursday which he didn't have to do. As for warming down, I'm no expert, but is it really necessary to warm down after playing for 10 mins?

Yes there is a point to warming down after only playing 10 minutes "In the Know". It gets rid of the built up lactic acid in the muscles, and the lactic acid builds up if you play 10 minutes or 90 minutes. If you don't get rid of it, then you'll feel it the morning after, and have a higher chance of pulling something next time you play.

Quite right Squawk, nothing wrong with Moussa's first half performance! If Roy's positioning for crosses was better and a few more players got up into the box we could have killed the game off in the first 45.

Thought Drury's 10 mins was a warm down.

He was probably annoyed with himself for hitting the post when should have scored.

Sulking and moping around does him no favours at all, he should concentrate on improving the weaker areas of his game and demonstrate it to Fordy, the squad and supporters etc..,

Why shouldn't he be available for all training sessions and reserve fixtures like everyone else in the squad???

Fordy said on RK after the match that he will be speaking to a few players later (the not so happy ones I guess). Also, with Porter back in training, it's likely he will have a full squad of 21 to choose from and so there will be a few unhappy players along the way to deal with.

he should be happy he made the bench young mr lovell didn't look very happy when he left before half time

whats more he at least he got on the pitch we didn't see the other subs sulking they just get on with it and i'm sure if you spoke to them they would have been just as pi**ed off

That's funny everyone standing around me was saying what a great shot it was from outside the box. I don't think you could call that a missed chance. Plain unlucky in my book the keeper didn't even have the chance to move.
Just seems to me that some players can do no wrong. Essendoh Sidibe and Manny are great players, but they have made some horrible howlers, missing the simplest of chances this season. Ben Abbey was pillored for his missed chances. Unluckily for him they cost us points, but I was still disappointed that he wasn't kept on. And come on how can anyone say Moussa had a good first half, if it had been Drury they definitely wouldn't be saying it.

I stand to be corrected but I think you'll find that players don't normally attend a full training sessions after playing 90 minutes the previous day. After all, being part time, they are contracted for two nights a week and have other committments

One other thing. Why is it everyone takes it for granted that Moussa and Andy are in competiton for the one position. Andy is a two footed player as his left shot that hit the post bears out, so surely he should be competing for a place on the left side as well with Jackson and Lovell

Anyway they're my opinions having come to his defence, it probably all a storm in a teacup, and we should be looking ahead to the Aldershot match, and here's to three points whatever the side.

Got to add my bit, Drury is a skillful player, but, he does have a habit of hogging the ball and losing possesion in stupid areas.

Whenever I've seen him this season he seems to be huffing and puffing ( easy to say when your not the one running around), I would hate to see him go, as I'm sure with matuity he will understand that 11 people make a team.

Thanks for the info Fleet Babe, but its funny how I played for many years, without warm downs and never suffered from pulled muscles or pulled anything come to that. And there's was none of this 30-40 mins pre match training, the players just came out 10 mins from the kick off. In fact with all this pre-match training I'd thought there would be more injuries not less
