What a performance tonight!! After the dour displays recently this was a quite brilliant performance of attacking football when chances were taken and the defence held firm.

The only things to sour the night were the awful display from the ref who was quite frankly embarrassing and inept and the injury to Lee Boylan that could keep him out for several months.

The Stevenage number 15 who comitted the atrocious tackle on Lee should be taken outside and flogged!! It was a terrible tackle and why the referee did [****!!****] all about it I don't know!!!!

Some great goals to illuminate the show. A brilliant run and shot by Ollie to set us going after 4 minutes. A piledriver of a free kick ny Lee to make it two.

A small blip a few minutes later when a rare mistake from Danny presented Stevenage with a way back into the game but we defended superbly with Gav and Wardy outstanding.

In the second half we continued to catch Stevenage on the break and Junior won a penalty on the hour that Greggors dispatched with ease for a long overdue goal.

Danny made a great save from a free kick and Junior was unlucky not to get on the score sheet before the best goal of the game. A superb flowing move saw the ball played from left to right to Neil Midgley in space. Midgers buried a superb drive beyond the keeper to send the travelling Yellow Army into raptures!!!

A few cries of "Westley out" from the Stevenage faithful but this was Canvey's night. A superb performance and may this long continue

Firstly, the tackle was not that bad, it was the way he fell that injured him. This was seen by many and shown by the reaction of your players and bench, also the players that went into the bar after the game. Yellow yes, but it was not worth a red or a 'flogging'.
Secondly, although you played well in fits and starts and will do well this year, that performance wasn't that great because we really are awful currently, that was the worst i've seen us play yesterday.
Finally, the booing after the game and the fact most of the stadium was telling Westley to 'F off' and almost everyone on our board is saying he should be well gone is more then a few boo's, we're in a dire situation.
But good luck to you, i look forward to the away leg and onwards i go to Hilton Park for a 3pm kick off in front of about 200 fans probably.
