Sell Drury NOW

Rumours have it that Chalie Mcdonald wants away and after hornchurch getting a bid rejected now iis the perfect chance. With Drury's consistency levels poor if we can sell him to fund for strikers then we will certainly be promoted.

LEAGUE 2 HERE WE COME!!!

Only if we sell Drury though.

If there is truth in the rumour (and there appears to be some element according to the Urchins forum HERE ) I doubt that we have the sort of money that could tempt him to us if Hornchurch have had a bid rejected.

Besides which, if Drury's consistency levels are "poor", as you put it, which club is going to be interested in a player that doesn't perform week in week out...?

Now I'd be the first to say I'm not Drury's greatest fan - for my liking he doesn't often choose the simple ball, his effort is sometimes lacking and that can be frustrating - but that's not an excuse to want him out.

Honestly, what some of our fans expect...

I'd be very interested Harry to know your valuation of Drury. Hornchurch have had a bid of 50K rejected, so presumably you'd expect him to be worth more than that. Incidentally the ratings in the NLP today gave Andy a mark of 8 our highest. Another point, which is blantantly obvious, our problem is not scoring goals it's at the other end. We concede too many goals, and keep too few clean sheets to even think about the play offs and League Two. Harry have a think before you post. Fleet Fanatic did you make the game yesterday?

Good of you to stipulate that point twice...

I agree that Drury is a bit of a ball-hog and that sometimes he chooses the selfish option of shooting rather than passing. Also, we cannot simply keep bringing him off the bench because he feels like he has something to prove - as does James Pinnock - leading to them both taking shots at goal in the hope that scoring might get them in the first team.

However, the argument, mentioned before, that we have done better in the games in which Moussa starts is fast becoming untrue. Plus, Andy was a regular in our great start to the season. The decision between the two is not an easy one for Fordy, therefore, we must hang onto Drury in case necessity calls for a bit of extra flair in the midfield.

Barnet , Carlisle , Aldershot , to name a few are far superioir to you. You saw how Dagenham were doing didn't you? It's a long haul

Aldershot got one late goal against 10 men. Barnet are superior to us. We haven't played Carlisle yet. Those are the facts, my boring little friend. A bit like you losing to Dagenham and drawing with Leigh.

Blimey, I used to quite like Burton until this bloke turned up. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laughuncontrollable.gif" alt="" />

After seeing him play yesterday "Jukebox" appears to be lacking in confidence big time. He played on the left yesterday and was at best

poor. Him scoring kept him on the second half imo.

Maybe he needs a run of games, maybe he needs to get back to basics, we can only summise what needs doing. There is no doubt he has ability, perhaps motivation and self belief are what is missing.

Quite right Jimmy - and never trust the NLP's ratings out of ten, Robert Stevenson. God knows how they managed to select him as our best player yesterday - although to be honest, there weren't a lot of outstanding candidates.
