So, the mass exodus of Dover players from the Crabble to Stonebridge Road begins. <img border="0" title="" alt="[smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

It seems that Jimmy Strouts could potentially slot into our side quite nicely, with his impressive goalscoring record from midfield - much like our current stars in the middle of the park.

Our strength this year was finding goals from a wide range of team members, and so adding another goalscorer who isn't a specialist striker could make things even better.

OK, so we now seem to have an excess of midfielders, but with the reincarnation of the reserve team next season, there should be enough room for everyone.

Also, has anyone noticed the interesting fact that links our two new boys? They both won player of the year awards at their respective former clubs in 2000/2001! <img border="0" title="" alt="[smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Welcome aboard the good ship G&N Mark and Jimmy. BTW how will seniority be worked out with the two Jim's? By age, or years at the 'Fleet'. Who'll be 'Jimmy No.1', and who'll be 'Jimmy No.2'?

Sorry if the typing is a little erratic, I've finally got round to wearing contacts, after 35 years of wearing glasses. Everythings looks a little weird. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />

I did try to post a message on the Dover site as I thought it was only polite, but not only do you have to register, which I had done some time ago, but now you must be approved by the webmeister before you can post.

Paranoid or what?

(whoops there goes my approval) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

In answer to I.C. and with no disrespect meant to our new friend from Dover, there will only ever be one 'Jacko and all other Jimmies will be Jimmy.

Does his other posting now mean that without his glasses, we'll now have to look at all of his face, all of the time, every week. I thought it was bad enough for everybody having to look at my ugly mug, I can do without others stealing my limelight.

I'd like you to know John that at present I'm in great demand. With a physog like mine I have appeared on T.V. and in several blockbuster movies lately.

In 'The Lord of the Rings', 103rd Orc along, 19th row back in battle the scene, you just catch me being fatally stabbed in throat. The 12th clone in the new 'Star Wars' movie, Ewan does a neat job of despatching me with his light-sabre. A passing gnarled old wizard in the alley scene, in the first Harry Potter film. Plus several appearances in 'Buffy' and 'Angel', as 'staked vampire and decapitated demon'. I'm also available for frightening horses in the street and small children when they won't eat their sprouts or spinach.

It seems that we have moved Stadiums overnight. as I found this on the Dover messageboard this morning:

</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>As i said a few days ago the Medway boys are looking for a few players, they are also looking for a proven goalscorer, if you were travelling from the other side of the Medway/dartford-tunnel they would look quite a good option. </strong>

</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It's sad when you don't even know the geography of your own county isn't it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />
