Shameless self-promotion by Ryman League

From the Ryman's own website:

Gravesend supporter John Magee was at the top of the Empire State Building in New York, when the final whistle blew at Bedford Town to confirm the Kent club's promotion to the Conference as Ryman League Premier Division champions. However he found an internet cafe close by and was delighted to find out the good news by accessing the results via the league's official website. A fan for nearly 30 years he said:" It was ten past twelve, New York time, and I was desperate to find out how they had got on. I managed to find this internet place to get the result, and I was delighted that Gravesend did it. I was also very impressed that the results were available so quickly".

Only thing is, I was down the club celebrating and was in no state to put the results on the website until very late on Sunday morning.

Thinking about it I think the results were on the meesage board from score-check. (Well there goes the ghost in the machine idea)

The ryman site has always been ssssllloowww at getting the results up - so I think it was either a case or words being put into his mouth - or not entirely true...

I suppose the proof of the pudding will be if he posts in here...
