have to agree with john, its about time that something is done against the council. The distorter did report that a deal had been done but scally and the council denied it. I think we need to make it clear how we feel!!

ive got the tins of paint and bags of flour ready for any target <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/attentat.gif" alt="" />

Mayby not so extreme then.

Im guessing that it must be the majority of the council for it to be passed, not just one person! Also just need get us noticed by a council whos eyes are blantantly shut to the fact they have a decent football team already!

Exactly. I seem to recall a thread in the distant past where I said a bunch of hairy-arsed greebo bikers, of which I'm proudly one, bravely fought and beat the Government and the EU Commission who were trying to impose ridiculous rules on us. We did it by lobbying anyone who'd listen, lobbying anyone who didn't, writing letters to anyone who supported us or not and generally made ourselves not only a pain in the backside but a voice to be heard and a force to be reckoned with. Back then, in the mid-nineties, they threatened my lifestyle. Today, a different enemy is threatening my football club. They didn't win, neither will Scally.

The time for action is now, now, NOW!

So, its all agreed that direct action is needed..

When?.....

Where?....

Point out to the rest of the footballing community how Scummy(Scally) is trying to force his way in to the Gravesend area.

TRUE fans hate this (Trust me, I am QPR, we've been there with mergers touted with Bentford and Fulscum).... Make sure that everyone and anyone knows this is a BAD idea for both the club and the area.

Look at Wimbledon/MK Dons for proof...

Dont let 'Fleet be swallowed up by some money grabbing cheating pikey who has no long-term interest in either the game or the teams who play it.

Real football, real fans!!

I entered my comment under rules & regs:

Gillingham FC are currently planning to leave a ground that they can't even fill & move out of the medway area into a neighbouring part of Kent (namely Ebbsfleet). Giving that there is already a conference team in the Gravesham area, it is NOT RIGHT that a so called bigger club can try to muscle in on another community & steal the catchment area. Also I am led to believe that it would be against the rules for them to do so - Wimbledon / MK Dons fiasco was a different scenario as they no longer had their own ground but Gillingham do! Could you please clarify the current rules on relocation for me?

Well sorry about this but as i have said before i support both clubs have done for years, but i do not want Gills in Gravesham anywhere, today i collected my tickets for Gills v Wolves on Saturday and asked some questions from relations friends etc all Gills supporters, they said are not interested in rumours and just dismiss it, some did not know what i was on about, nothing ever appears in the local Medway News or on the local radio so it just gets more confusing.

Thats how they want it. Sneak it in before you can stop it.

If the Gills fans don't wake up to the threat they will lose their club identity before they know it. As I have said before they have the most t olose over this.

Gravesham could potentially have 2 teams with local names vying for the same fans, whilst the Gillingham name and league football in Medway will die out.

This would be a disaster for all concerned.

Why do GNFC dislike Gillingham? We have never had a problem with you, in fact we would love to see you get into the league, something we can't say about Maidscum.

Regarding this move, trust me Gills fans don't want this and we have made noises about it so far, however the silence is deafening around here so have no idea whats going on. If it is true about a move to Ebbsfleet being signed wheres the proof, we would love to see it. As someone pointed out maybe Gills and GNFC supporters should get together to fight this, though its hard to fight something that isn't there yet.

Trust me, we would all get together to fight this.

Up the Gills and Good luck for the rest of the season.

Quote from Scally that appeared on Kent Online about a week ago -

"If there were such sites that gave us the same opportunities that Gravesham gave us, we would obviously explore them," he said. "We would like to stay in Medway if is at all possible."

But it would not be the end of the world if the club had to move. Only 50 per cent of the support came from Medway and just 15 per cent from Gillingham, he said.

"I'm not hung up on this must-stay-in-Gillingham, must-stay-in-Medway concept because it's not that important.

"We will make the decision on where we're going probably by the end of January or early February. We will pin down our preferred site by then."

In an article in the news shopper tonight both Scally and Gravesham council leader John Burden denied that there was any deal to move Gillingham to Gravesham.....so thats alright then.

In answer to Bum Chin I have nothing at all against Gillingham and wish you every success, I accept that you are the senior side in Kent and short of some idiot bankrupting you I expect you to remain Kents top team for the forseeable future. I like the fact that we play you each year in a friendly and am pleased that the connections between our club ( Fordie and Pennock on our part and Hessenthaler being a Riverview Park lad) helped bring us Moussa Sidebe.

The only problem I have with the Gills would be if they were to relocate to Gravesham which would be a disaster for both clubs, obviously more so for Gillingham but also for the Fleet.
