According to the site Confguide.com the pre season overseas tour is 19 July Basingstoke and 20 July Weymouth .

I believe that the overseas option was left to the players to decide.

If that's the case then, apart from obviously taking their other jobs and own holidays into account, it seems like a vote in our favour..... Not an awful lot of people could afford a long weekend in France or Belgium just to watch a friendly, let's hope the fans bear this gesture in mind during the coming season.

I agree, I doubt if the fans ability to go had much of a bearing on the decision.

I spoke with some of the players at the presentation evening, and they were keen to play at Weymouth, they really enjoy the weekend stay at Bournmouth.
They also said they felt that as some fans regularly travel to this weekend of fixtures, if they had the chance to voice an opinion they would vote not to go abroad.

Well done lads, I certainly enjoy this weekend, and we usually get good weather.
