Shearer is going to Dover

No point in asking if the deal becomes permanent whether a fee could be involved as Dover appear to be skint.

Dover are not too skint to put that muppet Browne on a two year contract though.
I am amazed he is actually trying to sign someone he has not previously employed. Strange loan deal that though - loaning a player out who was in the first team.

Browne also has a habit of being involved in strange loan deals - when at Slough he loaned out our first choice centre half and captain to Hayes who were in the league above us at the time.

If there was a personality clash , Lee didnt let it show on the pitch , and he always had time to speak to the fans at both home and away fixtures. He knew his place and he earned respect with gutsy performances.

Many at the club should look at Lee and see that a clash with management should not be seen in public and lee has always fulfilled his professional obligations on the pitch.

A big loss and just wish him all the best. A man who will be an asset to any team he plays in.

In my starting lineup all the time

So let us get this straight <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

According to Dover sources, he's wanted to go back to Dover since the start of the season.

According to Gravesend sources, he doesn't want to leave the Fleet and seems relatively happy here.

Strange.

And in yesterdays messenger Andy Ford said about the previous weeks loan offer 'dover came in for him and at one stage it could have happened but I decided it didn't.'

Then he starts on saturday and plays well.

And now he's apparently going to Dover. Very strange. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

The person who runs the Dover website is a national newspaper journalist and very well connected. He is rarely wrong.

Also, Dover are as big a club as Gravesend - although they are skint and two leagues below. Don't forget they could still pull 1,000 fans if they are towards the top of the league - I'd doubt we'd ever get that at their level. Dover will return to the Conference I think. They seem to be doing a lot of business at the moment and there's talk of a former backer coming back to the club.

Shearer DEFINITELY wants to go back to Dover. He just needs to get the right offer from them.

this is what i heard.....

The reason he does not mind going back to dover is becaouse Ford does not want him at gravesend, would you want to stay where you aren't welcome. Its not through choice and the loan deal is for 1 month only then to see what happens after that.

Then why did Andy play him last Saturday against Exeter then, when other options for centre-back were available?
