Finally, after hanging around for about a week.

So, was it natural causes? Did the Israelis poison him? Who will succeed him? Does this signal the start of a new era of peace for the Middle East? Was Arafat ever going to resolve the problems anyway?

Anyone?

Not sure how to view this dilemma at the moment, Badge !

It'll all depend on who succeeds him !

Sharon's hands aren't exactly clean of blood. Just as much a 'warmonger' as any Palestinian !

I think [color:"red"] 'Watch This Space' [color:"black"] would seem to be the best idea at the moment.

With Bush and Blair being at large, peace, this thread should be moved to the laughter lounge. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I do not hold a special brief for the Arabs but if we are looking at WPDs The ability to deliver with pinpoint accuracy, The ability to deliver in "very fast" mode, maltreatment of prisoners and mass destruction of a neighbors population and the 100% failure to comply with UN resolutions we should be invading Israel next

Apparently Arafat spent his last week lying on his deathbed wearing a Newcastle shirt, Spurs shorts and Rangers socks.

He wanted to be buried in Gazza's strip.
