Not knocking anyones club, home town or its night life......Bath is a lovely town in a nice part of the country. Why do people insist on jumping on this forum and trying to make something out of nothing? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Think Bath will provide a stearn challenge and I don't suppose the team nor Canveys supporters will under rate them.

They have already beaten Barnet at Underhill - a feat that Conference clubs haven't achieved.

We do have a good track record against clubs from that area and I hope it continues. Certainly not an easy game.

I'm not sure but I think I have been to Twerton Park in the 80's - can anyone confirm if Bristol Rovers played there whilst in between grounds after being kicked out of their original home?

Yes, Bristol Rovers spent ten years at Twerton Park in the 80s and 90s. The ground is certainly much more impressive than the collection of small tin sheds that passes for a stadium in Canvey.

Does this anonymous have a point or are they just another idiot thinking its cool to slag us and where we live off without any real reason?

I haven't seen any message on here saying what crap accents you lot have and that you should be on a tractor right now.

Oops!

Your not a chavvy ex-Hornchurch fan looking to slag ANYONE off, are you?

I used to live in the next town but grew up with mates in Canvey. The only reason i dont live there is because i'm at University. I'm a Canvey supporter and i love the area so i'm still allowed to stick up for it! Womford as you put it, is a sh*thole that i completely hate and i only lived there coz i was skint and it was cheap.

This isn't about where i live anyway. I just dont see the point in slagging off where 'we' live.

I am not yet registered and probably never will (well maybe some day) but I fail to understand the sad, immature and loser-like idiots that pretend to be interested in Canvey by posting messages on this forum just to annoy people.

Obviously these people either have no life, are village idiots or they are trying to escape the wrath of their OAGER like partners by pretending to be on the computer!!

get a life or go stand in front of a bus!!

I hope you mean Anonymous and not me coz all i wanna hear about is Canvey and football and when i see messages like that, i just wanna tell them to fu*ck off.

Sorry but that is my right on this forum.

I would really like to hear some predictions for the tie and a bit more about Bath coz they are a good side.

as you say back to the footie........

They knocked Barnet out of the cup 2-1

Perhaps the score didn't reflect the actual game - but I know I'd be chuffed to bits if Canvey beat Barnet 2-1 at Underhill and under any circumstance.

Think it will be a tight game but we have a good chance of progressing - if we have a full squad to pick from.

Wonder what style of play Bath opt for - football or the physical approach?

A tricky draw there. Not sure how Bath are doing in the Southern League but their form in the FA Cup has been impressive.

It should be a good day out though as Bath is a very nice city. Hopefully be some decent pubs there. Remember going to Mangotsfield last season in the FA Cup and apart from the trouble at the end it was a great day out!!

They appear to be 16th in the table with a few games in hand.

However, similar to the National Conference it looks quite tight and a couple of wins will take them up to about 7th. They seem quite good defensively although our old pals at Bedford put 4 past them at Twerton Pk. Then again Bath put four past Hitchin.

Whatever their league form is, I'm sure they will give us a game and a half when we travel down there in January.

looking forward to your visit. saw you at mangotsfield and was very impressed. we're having an ordinary season in the league but have been impressive in knock outs, with notable victories against teams in higher leagues (havant, carshalton and of course barnet). bees fans will claim we were lucky, but we missed 2 sitters before partridge got the winner. look out for our score at peterborough on sat in FA Cup R2. team bath are tenants at our ground and as they are at home to histon in the trophy, one of us is going to have to move to friday evening or sunday! fancy a trip round the M25 on a friday tea time?
