They have shown on Anglia news a School which is trying to beat truancy by instaling a scanner in their school.

The kids have to put their finger on this machine, BIG BROTHER IS COMING TO A SCHOOL NEAR YOU. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

"This is a pilot scheme", they said "School registers could be a thing of the past, it could soon be the finger. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />"

It seems to be the time of year, for new schemes, following on from the lorries, though this one will probably work.

Imagine the scene, Mrs Smith takes little Johnny to see the headmaster.

Mrs Smith says to Headmaster: "Little Johnny refused to give me the finger." <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Sorry.

Can't see how it helps anyway.

Either little Johnny is in school or he isn't.... even a teacher can see if he's there or not can't he/she?
