Mum admitted into hospital.

Recommended Posts

If it wasn't bad enough that my Dad was in Hospital over Christmas, my mum was taken by Ambulance Christmas Eve / Day at 3 am in the morning throwing up non stop, after leaving my Dad's side at 8pm on Christmas Eve.

They have put her into an isolation ward telling her that my mum and dad can't see each other, strapped her up to a drip. (They are not sure, what hers is, either Gastroentiritus or this hospital bug.)

What a cr ap christmas. I hate it.

To top of a wonderful Christmas day, this forum kept throwing me out all day. I hope today is better cos i really can't take another day like yesterday. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> Hopefully they will let us see my mum soon.

Sorry to hear that mate. Hope your mum gets well soon.

My nan died a couple of days before Xmas a few years ago and you never really get over it. It made for a quiet awful Xmas that year.

Sorry to hear about ya mum. I know in the local paper (Evening Echo) it said that 3 or 4 wards were closed due to the sickness bug so hopefully nothing more sinister.

Wont they let ya see her if you are all gowned up etc??? I know when I had infectious hepatitus a few years ago I could have visitors as long as they wore the gowns, masks and plastic cover things over there shoes.

Maybe you could check it out.

Hopefully they will both be well soon and that you have a better new year than this one.

Today is Boxing Day, and all I can say is, Mark, I hope things are looking up with some light at the end of the tunnel.

Babs, my sister also caught it Christmas Day from my mum, (I only found out this morning) I can understand the hospital wanting to contain it, otherwise I could carry it up to Braintree and pass it onto Mands family, Dr's not in today, hopefully they can tell us more tomorrow. My sisters children have been passed to her X husband and my sisters present fella is telling his family, sons to stay away, they come from Harlow.

Fingers crossed we can contain it within our own family. You can't believe how fast this can spread.

Mark any news mate?

Hope all is well now.

By the way after seeing Dom's 'shoot out' misses i want to do it for the Windsor!!

Plus i know half of the Windsor fans will be in the bar so it's not too bad!!

And if i kept it a secret they'd be amazed when they see me on the pitch. haha!

Once again hope all is well

Yeah, both parents home now, both taking it easy recovering. With our away U18 game to Ipswich Wanderers, PP at 11am tomorrow, we are off to Southend in the morning to see them both.

Thanks for your concern.

Re: "The Shoot for a Meal", after the Ricay game we are changing over to "Game for a Laugh", the idea is for eg. you v an Iron fan have 3 attempts to hit the crossbar. Prize Comedy night tickets for - The Venue.

I will be asking visiting forums, from Harrow onwards for "Game for a Laugh."

I will remember you wanted to do it, Mark.

i'll be pish poor at hitting the crossbar!

My 'placed' shots are famous at my former team... Although my crack from out side the area (ages 12) is still talked about today!

It all stopped when i did me knee in...If it wasn't for that i'd be playing against braintree instead of watching the game!
