Enfield progressed into the 5th round thanks to a late John stephenson strike in the 84th minute. Early exchanges were fairly even as both teams probed weaknesses and this proved to be the pattern of most of the first half .Brislington were proving to be a tough nut to crack with some well disciplined young players holding back the E's forwards quite well . Brislington almost took the lead just before half time when an ambitious lob bounced down from anthony ansteads crossbar,A very lucky escape for E's.In The second half Enfield had slightly the better of it with much of the possession but brislingtons defence were continuing to holding firm Jamie Richards and James Bunn were getting a little frustrated at the lack of opportunites and the game seemed certain for extra time.84 mins Enfield won a corner which was taken by ronnie watson the ball took a deflection into the path of E's new signing John stephenson who made no mistake from 6 yards out. Tempers did boil over a little at the end with a skirmish and the referee quickly got it sorted. So Enfield through to the last 16 and Brislington would feel unlucky not to have forced a replay. Nice to see some Towners in for todays game and even young junior put in an appearance.

How long has Tony Anstead been playing for you?

(Last time I saw him he was picking my penalty out of his net!)
