Enfield crashed out of the F A vase this afternoon well beaten by a very good bedlington terriers side. The day started badly for enfield when news that steve sedgeley was unable to play due to insurance reasons,Enfield were still without the Injured Al james hannigan and Greg howell.Andre Johnson has gone AWOL no one knows why. Bedlington took the lead on 2 mins when E's keeper anthony anstead got caught in no mans land when he rushed out of his goal only for steve preen to dispatch the ball past him 0-1. On 19 mins anthony chapman put bedlington 2 up when a shot from distance was dropped by anstead and the bedlington forward made no mistake,E's started to throw men forward and almost conceded again but for a fine save from anstead.H /T 0-2. In the second half Enfield fared much better with jamie Richards having a couple of half chances and a long range effort from danny jones that beat Terriers keeper gareth powell but just cleared the crossbar. Then a double sending off Mark Brewer and Terriers Ian dixon for what looked like a push by brewer and a spitting from dixon which saw the two come to an altercation ,Referee Mr Darlow showed both the red card. on 65 mins dave mcdonald also saw red for a 2nd bookable (1st one a bit harsh) Bedlington then threatened to run riot as a close range effort crashed against the E's crossbar and they were looking good to add to their tally. on 78 mins steve preen tapped in the 3rd and the game was well over now. So E's well beaten and a good crowd of 257 turned up today

A disasterous performance and we fully deserved what we got,0-3 could have been worse.

Was it a 'good crowd'? It would appear to have been the lowest of the round and some way off the higher gates.

All depends what you mean by good? An average attendance of 100 would mean that 257 was good.

Or of course a good crowd could mean that all 257 people were well-behaved.......

Errrr, who's taking the p1ss out of EFC? Read the posts carefully, moving your lips if necessary, and you'll see a simple little play on words, just for the fun of it.

It's the use of the phrase "good crowd", you see, which means.... oh never mind, try to work it out.

Actually Shadow could be just the man to persuade the American troops to go home.
