So guys...how do you think you will fare on Saturday then? I expect naturally the response will be you will win,& the crawley supporters will be thinking we will win! I believe it will be a tough game for both teams and 1 goal should decide it...guess what... I predict Crawley 1 - 0

crawleys home form is excellent.. we will do well to get a point there.. hopefully the shock of being fourth will induce some swaggering arrogance and we can sneak an ugly win!

maybe Crawley will still be in shock at the news their game v Morecambe will be televised live on Sky soon ! Then again, maybe not. Can't see us getting anything out of this one apart from more damage to our goals against column.

Crawley impressed me in our previous game but we gave them too much room, i think this saturday will be different.

Very impressed with Crawley - they came flying off the blocks and didn't slow up in tempo throughout the game.

Not sure we will get much change out of this one - then again all my predictions are cr@p.

The season has moved on since that Tuesday evening anyway - they have moved up and we have moved down. Hopefully they will be to cocky and we will win it in the 90th minute with a Duffy goal - de ja vu? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

think it will be a very tough game and they have got to be the 2nd best away team at the lane this season (behind hereford).
I would be happy with a point but i have a feeling we might just nick the 3 points.

i think they were better than hereford, they scared the aboslute crap out of us when they started so fast. i think if we do the same though we could push for a draw,

Saw his comments. What an arrogant tosspot. Hopefully we'll wipe the smile off his face tomorrow!

O.K then I'll side step that last remark and say that I hope you enjoy your trip and that you are going to meet possibly the strongest Crawley side this season with few injured players and more than 11 players deserving to start. But still hoping for a good match, enjoy your stay in chav land admition is £10 (I hate stupid chavs)

Jenkins blasts Canvey part-time 'excuse'

FORMER Southend United winger Neil Jenkins believes Canvey Island's part time status is not to blame for the Gulls stuttering start to life in the Conference.

The former England U20 International - who has impressed for Crawley Town this seaon - has helped his new side reach fifth in the table and is hoping to improve that position against the Gulls tommorow.

"We're only part time and we are right up there and Aldershot were part time last season when they got to the final of the play offs, so I don't think it makes any difference at all," said the 23-year-old.

"So if Canvey says it does then they are just making excuses."

Jenkins is looking forward to facing Jeff King's men after a 2-2 draw at Park Lane bck in September.

"They were so lucky to get a point that night," said Jenkins who help tranfer talks with the Islanders before joining Crawley during the summer.

"But hopefully we can make up for it this weekend. We've only lost once at home this season and that was to Barnet, so we're confident and know we should get the three points."

(Sorry for any spelling mistakes, typed it out myself from my copy of the Echo!)

Bitter I think is the word, seeing as we told him to get lost after hearing his demands.

Everyone knows Canvey don't rise to extortion when signing new players. That Grays retard Thurgood found that out as well as Brennan from Stevenage.

Admittedly Thurgood and Brennan have done the business for Grays this season.

Maybe he has a point though. You cant blame poor performance on being part time,

And the final score was 2-1 to crawley, was close though.

I think you guys were probably mugged. A draw would probably have been a fairer result as we were totally lacklustre for the first half.
The rub of the green seemed to be going your way all through the match but you really paid paid for your timewasting in the end. 4 minutes time added on and we get a penalty in th third minute of this.
