Ty Gooden Hangs Up His Boots...

CIFC - Y.A

Fair play to TY for arranging the benefit match for Gary Thompson, that was an amazing thing to do!

From the playing side of things i felt he did ok over last season but never really stood out as an outstanding player..

I think all the injuries took there toll in the end

Not really a surprise. Always felt Ty struggled with his fitness and never really showed what he is capable of doing.

Best moments? That superb goal away to Kettering and a sublime free kick on the opening day of last season against Basingstoke.

I'm sure Jeff felt that bringing Ty to the Lane and the benefits it may bring was a gamble worth taking. It's a shame Ty never got to consistently show us the form that allowed him to play at a higher level. As you say Yellow "not really a suprise" - hope everything goes well for him in the future. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

On a footballing side, not to gutted that he has gone as his injuries never gave him the chance to play on a regular basis but on his day he did show he was a class act, as yellow said that goal at kettering was superb, i remember all the kettering fans applauding aswell.

as a person he was a nice fella and the amount of effort he put in for that charity game was sheer class.

Good luck in the future TY
