Ken i remember that game well. the game seemed to be heading for a boring 0-0 then thommo scored that great goal, never seen anyone turn so quick.

Also it got me in the echo as the camera man took the picture just as thommo struck the ball and i was in the background just getting ready to celerbrate <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Yeah, that was Good Friday a couple of days afer we beat Chester in the Trophy semi final. Thommo came on as a sub and scored the winner in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

Best -

1. Vale Away - Put us on the map
2. Villa Park 2001 - Who would have thought it!
3. Wigan Away - Look at them now

Worst -

1. Villa Park 2004 - Still haven't watched it back
2. Hitchin Away - Game after Gravesend away, all that work wasted
3. Slough Away - I'm sure we'd have got to the 3rd round again looking back on it.

No one mentioned when Gravesend got promoted and you lost away on the last day of the season at fortress Cressing Road, we finished 4th level on points with the Shots. Gate was over a 1,000

We had blown the title before that game. Had we needed just a win that day I am sure we would have got it.

That Braintree game was mentioned on someones worst list, dunno who's and can't be arsed to search for it again. Though win or lose it wouldn't have made any odds cos we needed Gravesend to lose- and they didn't.

that was the game where tony hit an old man by accident. some kids were playing a game on the pitch afterwards that was alot more exciting than the actual match

The best alltime non-league 45 minutes had to be the second half fight back against Port Vale at home

Me hitting that old man was in the bar after the Braintree game. Simon (Ken's Brother) was slaughtered and thought it would be funny to pour his entire pint over me. There was a lot of beer on the floor already from all of us pi*sheads and as he chucked it, i tried to move out of the way and slipped on the beer. As i slipped, a old man of about 75 was walking past with some raffle tickets and as i went, i caught him square in the mouth and knocked him out! Everyone looked at me as if i had beaten him up and i swiftly moved outside in embarrassment!
