to robert G,and robert brassett.....firstly.to r.brassett....if i can't be an enfield fc supporter because i look at the ETFC website,,then that rules you out as well!!....i did not comment on the cheshunt rubbish,i commented on you....secondly,i do know who you are,it's just that i havn't seen you at a game recently (no change there).....to robert G,,,hello i'm rob C,,..firstly why have two forum names...also,i was not bad mouthing the club.just some people who run it....i've no doubt, that derek and his crew do a good job in keeping enfield afloat...it's just that i feel there actions are prolonging lazarou's involvment in the club.....i will try to get to harrow(7.30 k.o dosn't help)..if i attend i will not be making contact with your little posse on the sidelines...mainly because i do not wish to help the present regime.also to avoid any unpleasentness....your true support will be measured when you are no longer required in official positions(ie.when laz go's).

Dear Pete (unregistered),
I have read the Enfield Town v AFC Wimbledon programme from cover to cover and can find no references to "90% of its support and all of its history".
Tell us on which page it was - or own up and admit that you made it all up and just wanted to start trouble.
I believe the actual wording was something along the lines of history starts today and them writing the first chapter in the history of a brand new club.
Also, Mr FreeBird, if you read the ETFC history carefully (even you must be able to do that, there isn't any joined up writing!!!!) it simply said that Enfield Town FC can trace its roots back to before the closure of the Southbury Road stadium, it doesn't say the club was formed when the Trust was started. Try and keep up, old boy.
See you at Harrow tomorrow (I think not)

Hi Rob C, firstly I havent got two forum names sirop is a different person! I am robert g.
You say you dont want to meet us, incase of any unpleasentness, that is fair enough, I would say just pop over and see me (the fat bloke with the big flag) or any of the of the others on our own. we are not like that at all, I help the club out no laz, I have never defended him in the past, I just want the best for enfield f.c. If that means giveing a lot of time and effort to the club then I will. If however people dont want to thats up to them, so long as thay turn up, pay there money and get right behind team on a match day. hope to talk at harrow

dear ginger its so hard keeping up with you I may need some help

When was the Trust formed - before the close of Southbury Road but as and EFC trust not an ETFC trust

ETFC started after a meeting at Brimo which I attended
so you cant trace your history back before then you never existed untill then.

The trust was an EFC one untill then

I don't want to fan the flames any further but just to point out that on page 5 of the AFC Wimbledon programme, second column, first sentence it states' 90% of the old clubs support to the Town we brought with us its tradition and history'. this may not exactly be the quote from earlier on but the gist of it is. Yes you have the support no one at EFC can deny that. But the history and tradition is only that in the memory banks of the supporters. If EFC dies no doubt the history will pass to you but not til then. Although using it for remebering past matches is useful. Jim would have had an empty page otherwise.

To me Tradition and spirit are very similar. There is no doubt in my mind that the traditions of the EFC I supported for 20+ years only lives on at ETFC. Im not worried about the history so much as we are busy creating our own.

In my view the history up to summer 2001 belongs to both clubs. However far more important for both clubs is the future.

What are you talking about? My only posting on this thread was in direct reply to a post from Mr Happy. The reference will be lost on anyone who has not seen another thread where duelling was mentioned, but this is common on these forums. I think it's called humour.

I would have thought that this topic has plenty to do with Enfield Town, anyway, as it relates to the similarity between the websites and programmes of the two clubs - something which I would have thought hardly surprising, under the circumstances.

And how would you decide who can comment? Can only EFC supporters make comments? You could argue that it doesn't concern you either as you don't own the club, therefore only Laz should be allowed to comment.

Think it all through mate.

'scuse me for butting in, I think the phrase used in the Towners history is something along the lines of being able to trace their roots back to when Southbury Road closed. (ROOTS - not history, totally different things).
In other words, if it never closed, then they would never have been formed.
Seems reasonable to me.
Anyway, blame LazyPoo for all of this bickering between people who were once good friends.
In fact, blame the Ugly G C for everything!

Actually says "... oficially formed in June 2001, can trace its existence back to before September 1999..."

Hmm... that means certain people were 'working' for both clubs. How strange?
