and it took me 45 minutes to drive 3 miles home.

LOL I walk everywhere and use public transport and got from Luton (in chatham) to Riverview (Gravesend) in about 2 hours. Walking along Luton road in Chatham I over took all the cars.

Schools closing ? People leaving work early ?

Yep....a few inches of snow (and it's the people's snow under President Tone !....another vote catcher !) sure still f*cks everything up...although, I think people are taking the p*ss a bit....but, under European Law & Human Rights Law,

why should anyone have to go to work anyway ? Let's all go to Tenerife...surely the State will pay ?? Indeed, I nearly slipped over leaving the pub this evening. Must fall over more easily in future.....where's there's blame, there's a claim !!

Total B*llocks !!

It's only a matter of time my friends....you have been warned !!

Regards,

Sorry Harry, but there aren't that many busses around at 5 o'clock in the morning.
I would walk it, but it would mean getting up at 0345 to start at 5 pm!

In Maidstone too, however the side roads are a mess, but as most of the schools are closed today, the journey to work was pretty quick..!

It tried to snow again this morning and we are expecting more throughout the day, so looks like a tough job getting to the match this weekend if the roads are still cr@p..!!

Amazingly, both my trains today were on time !! Mid you, the next fast Cannon Street train this morning was delayed 30 minutes due to Severe Weather - quite how one train is on time & the next is 30 minutes late due to severe weather is beyond me - the weather certainly didnt get worse in that time !!
