Have you read the pyramid pages of Come On You ETs? I don't think even the league officials in England know exactly what is happening to the pyramid.

i attended the recent Ryman/F.A meeting at gatwick
and the fa have put forward a new structure , which seems to be the brainchild of greg fee (i think he played for boston )
its looks like this
Conference (1)
Semi-National (north) (2)
Semi-National (south)(2)
Ryman (3)
Doc Martins (3)
NPL (3)
below this only the ryman structure was announced
this would be two divisions (north / south ) of 24
below this would be a feeder pool , with clubs feeding into the league nearest to them (if there was avalibility)
the problems with this seems to be that a club like Chesham could be in the semi-national north and end up playing in the same league as Barrow!
the two semi-national leagues though may not be made up of the best playing sides as the fa will take into account average gates and statia !
the two semi-national leagues would also include play-offs into the conference.
hope this make sense!

The FA refuse to use the phrase 'Non League' - they just use 'The National Game'.
So therefore they will probably try and force this on any new non league division.
Admin.
