The line-up looks more promising this weekend!

Williamson in for Noto, Mapes in for Kennedy.

Sterling, McGhee and Ward at the back, plus Burton partnering Boylan up front.

Should be a good game...

Northwich, Farnborough, York and Leigh lost. Forest Green drew as were Tamworth last time I heard. Gravesend won.

That keeps us 18th with a game in hand over Tamworth and two over York.

Our game in hand at Leigh is a must win I feel.

Just like to say well done to the lads on today's result, they must have felt rather down after Tuesday night. Nice to break the away hoodoo at last ! Let's hope we can get a point or three against Aldershot on Friday night.

I'd tend to go more for the official site on that one. If it's not the Premiership or Championship the BBC don't usually give a toss and rely on third party informants.

Can anyone comment on the McGhee substitution? Was it an injury?

Definately Junior who headed the ball after a great cross from Dave Theobald. McGhee seemed to have done his right leg in and went down straight away.

Let's hope it's not too serious then!

Do you find it a little odd that as far as I can re-call 99% of the teams that haven't managed to beat us this season have called us poor? I can imagine those that put three or four past us the say it, but those that drop points to our lowly (Original) Pub Team from Essex just can't seem to accept that they can't beat the Marsh Rats.

Yep - as you say - Mcghee was subbed due to injury and it looked like a leg injury. The defence up until that point seemed to be handling any situations.

Lee took an excessive barge in the box and the officials, who were extremely dodgy, gave nothing. The game was stopped when Lee stayed down injured. He was spitting blood out in front of the ref and looked like he took a blow to the jaw - I presume an elbow, but couldn't be sure. Canvey fans behind the goal were going mental.

Danny also had a wrist or hand injury towards the end of the game as well - hope it ain't serious.

Not the most exciting of games - and it didn't look as though either side was going to score. Felt Albion had more and slightly the better chances. IMHO - we had a strong wind behind us in the first half and perhaps we should have tried a few more distance shots to test the keeper.

Lee had a cracking free kick tipped over by the keeper, but other than that our chances were fewer and further between.

Mapes did OK for his first game - time will tell. Burton covered ground, but his first touch was a little off. At times, particularly the second half, we seemed to slow the momentum down and players weren't moving off the ball a great deal or they were getting caught in posession. When they scored I thought that would be how it would remain - but the lads stuck to it and I felt we deserved a point in the end.Felt possibly Dom and Theobald out of position for Burtons goal

The regular Yellow army behind the goal made a fair bit of noise in the first half - around 50 away supporters.

Im afraid your mister Boylan was putting it on a bit there was hardly any contact , bit of a fancy dan Id say.

Your Pikey fans behind the goal did nothing but shout w**ker at the lino all game, about the limit of their vocabulary?.

Two very poor performances today Im afraid

The player clattered (barged) into Lee with excessive force.

No Burton fans were near the Bray end, and the incident happened right in front of the Canvey fans. I don't know how Lee seemed to catch his jaw, but what the whole of the Burton crowd missed was Lee spitting up blood right in front of the incompetent ref and linesman.Hence why the ref didn't send him straight to the touchline. He knew he had made the wrong decision - I don't think Lee is such a fancy dan that he didn't come straight back on but continued to receive treatment by the dug out.

But you have your opinion and our fancy dan does have a habit of wiping the smiles off the face of his critics by sticking one in the back of the net. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

No [****!!****] isn't the only word our fans know - but I felt it was the right one and used in the right context - Burton got the majority of decisions in that first half period from a couple of W**k officials. Or are you just gutted that we made more atmosphere than you? until a hoard of Burton chavs stormed the Bray End using language that wasn't to disimlar to what you accuse us of.

Do agree that the game was poor overall and was consistent with where the two teams are placed in the league - nice looking new ground by the way.

Did anyone listen to Jeff or Glenn's after match discussion on BBC Essex?

Can anyone let me know roughly what was said - did they mention Mapes or S.Burtons performance?
