What The Hell Was That!?

There was me yesterday. Finishing work, driving down the A12 to watch the free flowing football of my beloved Canvey. Shiney new season ticket in hand, bright new shirt on my back and excited like a kid at christmas.

Why? I turned up to see 'Riccy reserves play I think. What the hell was that? 0 - 4 . I can't remember the last time we lost a league game with a scorline as bad as that. Made my return trip to Ipswich a lonely drive. All I could see was Micky Bennet marking the invisible man while Chenners tried to do 2 peoples jobs and poor old Lee Protheroe playing out of position. I was trying to think of excuses but there are none.

Our weakness last year was our inability in most games to keep a clean sheet. That was with Buzz, Wardy & Bodders in the team. Now we have trouble keeping the ball. I hope Mr King slaps a few arses & sorts the new boys out because we can't afford any more games like that other wise we'll do no better than mid table (if were lucky).

I'm hoping my return to The Rock Saturday will be more fruitfull. It can't be any worse. <img src="/forums/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" />
